I bought this one day last year on a whim as i am constantly looking for makeup that will brighten my dull complexion. Im fast approaching 40 and the fine lines are starting to come in with a vengeance. Sob. Ive trialled just about every foundation known to woman in my quest to get radiant clear young looking skin.
Anyway, i chose the colour 103 true ivory, which looks great on my NW 20 …Read more
I cant believe there arent more reviews about this, since it's been out in the UK for a whole year, but i only recently noticed it at my local Boots branch and got a little sample to try it.
I was really happy with my Instant Radiance foundation ( also no7) and thought this might be slightly too light for my acne prone skin with enlarged pores, blemishes, oily parts and dry patches …Read more
Last winter i was colour matched to cool vanilla in Stay Perfect but my skin was dehydrated and it clung to my dry patches. So i stopped using it. But in general any of the no7 foundations i had tried were very good, with good colours, decent staying power and a good level of coverage.
I found myself in Boots browsing the makeup counter and ended up being colour matched two shades darker …Read more
Ive tried every concealer from A to Z , high medium and low end!
I have extremely dry sensitive undereyes and finding an under eye conealer that did a satisfactory job of concealing and hydrating was almost impossible. Max factor pan stick hydrated nicely but did not illuminate and fell into fine lines. Benefit fake up hydrated and didnt really fall into lines but looked cakey and …Read more
I tried this first at my local EL counter and it was deep winter outside. I had horrible painful excema under my eyes and was pretty depressed about my appearance.

There is a reason why this product has been around since 1948!!
For dry skinned ladies it is a pure godsend. Since advancing into my late thirties my skin became as dry as the sahara and every liquid foundation i tried just clung to my dry cracked patches and looked ghastly no matter how much i moisturised and primed beforehand. retinoid acne treatment plus cold weather really took their …Read more
In the UK most high end make up counters flatly refuse to give out samples, so that they can put pressure on you to sit down and try it on your face for you. Once you agree to this and you arein the chair, you can bet that you will not be getting out of it without buying at least one product off them. ( most likely it wont even be the product that you originally expressed an interest in)

For a while now i've been trying to make my makeup more "natural" looking after a snido at the office remarked about my love for cosmetics and perfume in a rather derogatory way.
I looked very closely at my foundation, blusher and lipstick. I realised that none of these were natural looking because i was using too light a colour of foundation and too pinky coloured blushes …Read more
Currently im attempting to find my HG foundation and i have seriously spent huge amounts of cash buying drugstore foundations. As you cant return used makeup here in the UK i've been left with a "foundation graveyard" of unsuitable foundations which i will never use!
However i dont think this one will end up there! I have light to medium skin with pink tones- NW20 and …Read more
