I bought this recently for a cat eye look for Halloween. Its creamy consistency is great and it's very easy to work with. I use a pointed eyeliner brush for application. It's got great staying power too. Only thing is I won't put this on my lower lashline - I have light colouring plus my eyes are kind of small. I will definitely buy this again when I run out.
Before I started buying MAC, I used to use shadows from this palette all the time in combination with those from Rimmel's Bronzed palette. I especially like the bronze shadow in this product. These shadows aren't highly pigmented though.
I bought this palette before I knew anything about eyeshadow and which shades would go best with my blue eyes. I just picked it because blue and green are my favorite colours. Anyway, these shades look awful on me. Plus, they're super shimmery and not pigmented.
I bought this palette with the hopes of achieving a classic black and grey smokey eye. However, this product turned out to be junk. It's way too sparkly and there's tons of fallout. I'm surprized by all the negative reviews of this product. This used to be my go to palette before I started buying MAC. I think these colours look really good with light blue eyes and pale skin. However, these shadows are not heavily pigmented and the packaging sucks.
I have followed the application instructions on the back of this palette a few times, and everytime it looks complete whack. I have rated this product so high though because the darker brown colour works amazingly as an eyeliner on me. I'm really pale and I find it's not too harsh. It also works really well just on the bottom lash line with MAC's fluidline in BlackTrack on the top …Read more
Along with Shroom and Sable, I got Quarry in my first and only MAC palette. It works well in the outer corner of the eye for a deeper, more intense look. I put Shroom all over my lid and on my brow bone and then I put Sable on the outer half of my lid, crease and outer corner. Quarry's alright. It's not highly pigmented so you have to pack a lot on.
I got this in my first and only (so far) MAC palette. It's goes really well with super light blue eyes and pale skin. My only complaint is the formula. It goes on highly pigmented yet spotty - it doesn't go on smooth. Plus, I find it takes me a lot of work to blend, even with my MAC 217 brush.
