This is my HG low-poo. I have dry skin and used to have dry, poofy, frizzy hair before I started treating it right. Switching to sulfate/silicone free products has made all the difference, and my scalp and hair are thankful. I've tried several different low-poos ranging high end (Deva low-poo, for example) to drug store, and this is my favorite to date. The price is right, it cleanses well …Read more

Deodorants - Crystal - Crystal Body Deodorant Stick

This works really well for me. I bought this quite a long time ago and I'm still on my first stick, so the price was more than worth the few dollars I paid. I truly feel that since I stopped using traditional antiperspirants that I'm actually sweating less than I had been before. I also have the roll-on, which I like as well, but I think this solid form works *slightly* better for me …Read more

I really like this product! I've been using it for a few months, and I have noticed my skin looks more even and just nice over all. I have very, very dry skin and have tried almost every moisturizer out there - some were very expensive, some didn't moisturize well at all, some broke me out or clogged my pores even though I'm not acne prone. This basic, unscented moisturizer works …Read more

Moisturizers - CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

I really didn't want to like this. I normally don't like Clinique's moisturizers as they tend to break me out, and I'm not a fan of most of the ingredients. My skin was looking rough, dry, tight - the New England winter air sucked out the little remaining moisture I had left. I got a delux sample of this and figured I'd try it, if I didn't like it no big deal - …Read more

Deodorants - No Brand (DIY or homemade) - Baking Soda & Corn Starch

This works! Who needs chemical filled deodorant/antiperspirant when you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry? We seem to have different recipes here, the one that works for me is 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/4 cup baking soda, and about 4 tbsp extra virgin coconut oil, mashed and mixed until creamy (use a fork) and spooned into an old empty deodorant container makes the perfect amount. After …Read more

Foundations - bareMinerals - Bare Minerals Ready Foundation

I like this foundation! I love that it is fast and easy to apply with the Perfection brush. Just a few taps on the powder, then a few to knock off excess product, applied in 'long graceful strokes' as the directions indicate leaves a near flawless complexion. I set it with the Mineral Veil on a fluffy brush, and it lasts throughout the day. I have to agree with the others - you must get …Read more

I just finished my jar and am docking this down to 2 lippies. What I loved about this product: The moisture and the coverage. What I disliked: Still hate the jar packaging, but I can work around that. But the deal breaker is that, if I so much as touch my face to blend this, it rolls up in little balls. I've tried using a moisturizer or primer under this, it helps slightly, but it still …Read more

Hair Styling Tools - Unlisted Brand - Tourmaline Featherweight/Travel Hair Dryer (Original and Bespoke versions)

Not a fan. I was a little dissapointed when I first got this (full sized Featherweight), but tried to convince myself that it was worth the money. I've been using it for YEARS and its finally starting to wear. I have Thick wavy/curly hair that I wear natural, I dont style it straight... that was never a good look on me.
It takes a LONG time to diffuse my shoulder length hair with this …

It's about time I reviewed this product. I have been using this on and off for years... recently my skin has been reacting to something, who knows what. Maybe my skin is reacting to the change in weather, maybe my trusty moisturizer isn't so trusty anymore, or maybe my skin is simply changing as I get older. I was getting strange small whiteheads here and there, they would spring up in …Read more

Oh I LOVED this brush! I found it at the Brookstone Outlet for a mere 20$. I used this once or twice a week with my usual face wash, depending on how my skin was feeling. I could never use this daily, and I dont think you're meant to, but I could be wrong on that.
I used and loved this brush until my husband dropped it on the bathroom floor. It didnt survive the impact, but you can bet …
