Palettes - Urban Decay - NAKED [DISCONTINUED]

I'd heard good things about this pallete, and after using and enjoying Naked Basics I decided to buy it. The colours are fairly warm toned, but the majority are dark and sparkly. The belendability was not great at all and, despite using Nars eyeshadow primer, by the end of the at the shadow had travelled to the out corners and my lower lash line - I looked like I'd gone swimming. The …Read more

Masks - SK-II - Facial Treatment Mask

I have combition skin that is prone to break outs, but also gets dry and sensitive in patches. I use Paula's Choice products to keep oil and breakouts at bay, so for some rehydration I decided to use the SKII masks. To start with, there were no instructions in the box so I had to google how long to leave it on for. Disappointing as I forked out £70 from net a porter for them. I left it on …Read more

Lipstick - Bobbi Brown - Lip Color - Blondie Pink 64

Apr/08/2016

I've tried quite a few Bobbi Brown lipsticks in the past, but found the brown base shade in so many of them really unflattering on my fair neutral skin tone. However, Blondie Pink is an exception - the beautiful muted-pink-nude is so easy to wear, and I find it a great alternative to many pale nude lipsticks I've tried that tend to really wash me out. The lipstick formulation is really …Read more

Blush - Bobbi Brown - slopes

I bought this blush without trying it first and, amazingly, I love it! I'm very fair, with red hair and blue eyes, and a neutral skin tone. I've always veered away from pink blush, but this shade is so wearable as it has a paired-down feel - it's a dusky, flushed pink that leans warm with perhaps a tiny hint of beige.
I apply it quite lightly, giving me a believably flushed …

Concealers - CHANTECAILLE - Le Camouflage Stylo

Apr/08/2016

I bought this in Space NK, the MUA explaining it is half and half concealer and eye cream - so overall a really lightweight hydrating product, that really works, and without the dreaded 'highlighting' shimmer so many concealers seem to contain.
As I am so self-conscious of my dark circles, I used to be fairly heavy handed with thick concealers and ended up with dry skin around my …

Blush - MAC Cosmetics - Mineralize Blush - Warm Soul

I bought this Mineralize Blush in a Debenhams store, whilst still being very unsure of the colour - the MUA was very heavy handed and I basically looked bright orange...
I've now had it for a month, and I'm completely in love. I use a Suqqu Cheek brush for a really light application and it gives me a very flattering orange-beige glow with a bit of shimmer. It sounds horrific, but …

Blush - CLINIQUE - Cheek Pop in Melon Pop

I absolutely love the colour of this blush! It' a pale, brightening pinky coral on me - just gorgeous with a daytime smokey eye and nude pink/peach lip. I can't imagine it overwhelming even the fairest of complexions, I'm fair-neutral and I need to apply several layers for it to start showing up.
My only issue is the formulation itself - I've used it for less than a week …

Blush - CLINIQUE - Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop

I bought this blush online after trying a swatch in Boots, and the colour's great on my fair neutral complexion. The colour comes up as a tawny deep peach shade, with a definite hint or burnt orange/red tinge. It's surprisingly pigmented, and can look quite ruddy if I apply too much - so apply it in layers, rather than loading up the brush first...
...Having said that, the formula …

Lipstick - Hourglass Cosmetics - Femme Rouge Velvet Creme- All

Jan/11/2016

I was surprised I didn't like this lipstick after all the rave reviews, but so far the formula is not suiting my lips.
I bought shade Vintage from Space NK - the colour is perfect for my NW15 skin tone, as it makes me look slightly more porcelain than I actually am, which is very flattering (I have a definite red/yellow tone to my skin, that some lipsticks really emphasise). The colour …

Lipstick - Laura Mercier - Sheer Lip Colour- Nude Lips

2.0

Jan/08/2016

I really like the consistency and moisturising benefits of this lipstick, but shade "Nude' looks entirely orange/tan on my pale complexion (NW15). It contains no hint of pink, or much peach, and looks like a dated shade of nude - the undertones seem to be pale brown and yellow. I repurchased in 'Bare Lips' which is more intense with a hint of pink/peach to it, and I love it …Read more
