I wanted this The Ordinary product to work so badly since it was at a great price point and packaging was simple. However, it didn't help my breakouts and seemed to irritate my sensitive skin (which may have led to more breakouts).
I really like how moisturising this is. This is sort of like a highlighter-concealer in that it's not high coverage. This would almost be my HG but it makes my eyes redder than if I used EL Double Wear concealer. I will use it up and will try to test out other highlighter-concealers on the market. It's quite pricey because you can see the amount go down quite fast.
I have the lightest shade (Fair) and I thought it would be too light on me. I like it for the under eye as it's not too drying. It's medium-high coverage and because it's moisturising, it gives me some milia, compared to Estee Lauder's Double Wear concealer. The latter is drying on my eyes during fall/winter though. I guess all concealers have their plus and minuses! …Read more
Great product for rush make-up days! However as the hours go by, it tends to turn a bit cakey, more so than regular liquid BB creams. The finish has a sheen to it and the coverage is medium at most. I use the second darker shade and it's a little dark but the lighter one would be too light, I would use if I was out for less than 6 hours. There is a strong but pleasant fragrance as with …Read more
I bought the newest 2013 version that has SPF 50 PA++++ (that's right, 4 pluses). Unfortunately the extra UV protection made the new formula shinier and heavier. Like many sunscreens, this eventually broke me out. I'd rather stick to a lower SPF sunscreen than have more pimples, especially if I'm indoors for work most of the day. Maybe if you have drier skin your skin would be …Read more
Covers pores well. Medium coverage and does not look natural if built up. I have oily skin and the staying power is okay. I find BB creams last longer on normal skin. Long lasting foundations should be a better option for those who want a longer lasting finish. I still need to use powder as I get shiny fast. I want to try other products so probably won't repurchase. Shade 01 goes on …Read more
I'm on the fence. For my dehydrated, oily winter skin, this was great at the beginning. My skin looked brighter and was more hydrated (or felt that way because of the silicones). On the other hand, I am breaking out in places I don't normally break out in. I would recommend if you're not as clog-prone. This is not a miracle product but it can brighten skin nicely (it's …Read more
Great drugstore mascara. Straightens my curled lashes with too many coats but has a nice black colour and good volume. Comes off easily with a cleanser as it's not waterproof. Downside is that it flakes a bit, probably because it's not waterproof and I yawn/eyes get watery easily. These are small downsides compared to the good price for a decent volume mascara. I usually only apply …Read more
Good cleansing power. It feels luxurious as it's foam is rich and creamy. I rate it as a 3 as the scent is way, overpowering. I had thought Christian Dior's line were very scented but The History of Whoo's foam cleanser's scent is not natural and is too artificial for me to use on a daily basis.
