I've been working my way through a very generous sample from Sephora because I've heard great things about the Mat Velvet+. This is a very soft matte foundation, which I'm definitely a fan of. Generally matte finish foundations give a very dead look to my skin, but this one is quite nice--very natural. I also have to say that, despite how it's marketed, this is not a full coverage foundation. It's a light-medium to solid-medium coverage depending on the method of application (sheerer with a sponge, fuller with a brush). The consistency is nice because it doesn't feel heavy and thick, but it still holds up well to the oiliness of my skin. It is relatively buildable for those of you who would like heavier coverage, but after two layers it does look awkward and mask-like. But on the bright side, it's very long wearing. I've has this on probably for nine hours right now with no touch ups and it still looks magnificent. It's quite expensive at $34 for 1fl.oz., though, so I'm not sure if I would actually purchase this, but so far I'm really liking it.

EDIT: Picked a full size product up during the Sephora F&F sale and I still think it's a good product. The color match (#40) is way off, but it's the closest shade to my skintone that they have (20 is the next closest, but I look ghostly...the others in between aren't even close). Unless I'm wearing a scarf or something to cover my chest area, I'll have to wait until summer before I can use this again :( Took one more lippie off because the color range is depressing
