Ok, so I finally broke down & bought this foundation. I've been wanting to try more high end foundations for years, but due to the price, I've put it off. I found this foundation at the Saks outlet in one of my nearby malls, & they had a ton of makeup there for half the price it normally is, thus I finally bought it :)
However, since the selection was a bit more limited than it would have been had I gone to the actual MAC counter in a department store...I think I did end up getting the wrong shade. Then again my skin I believe is 'neutral', since I've worn both warm & cool shades & both seem fine. I truly have no idea :P
The shade that I picked up is NW25, a bit darker than my skin by just a shade, but it's not noticeable at all. I do also tend to tan so my skin ends up being a shade darker as it is. The coverage was perfect, a medium coverage in my mind. It was heavier than a tinted moisturizer but not heavy enough to leave me feeling cakey. It really just looks smooth, like skin, & that's the look I enjoy. I'm sure another coat would have made it much heavier but my skin doesn't need that much make up, thankfully.
It hasn't broken me out yet, so we'll see. The only reason why I took off a lippie is because...well, I was disappointed that there was no pump with this. Not like that's the end of the world, but there was a pump in the longwear version so it would be nice if they could just streamline all of the liquid foundations bottles into all having pumps. I don't see why one does & one does not :
Overall very satisfied with the foundation, which stood through the test of work & lasting, & I can now see why so many people flock to MAC for makeup :) I would definitely recommend & buy it again :)

I still really like the foundation, though when I lived in the South, the humidity wasn't allowing the makeup to actually stay on my skin, even with powder on top & a primer underneath. Also working in a place where I am always moving around & get rather hot at doesn't help, since my makeup tends to sweat off if it isn't a longwear.
However, since moving to the northwest in a very dry climate, this is actually perfect now :) So, my review stands where it was before just simply due to a change of location. It's still too dark but that was my fault for purchasing a shade too dark. (But living in the desert climate sort of gives me a darker shade now anyway so it all worked out).
Still a great product, & still looking forward to trying the longwear formula.
