Noxzema is one of those products that have been around forever and which you hope will never be discontinued. I don't find it adequate for taking off my makeup in the evening, but I love to use it in the morning. The eucalyptus and menthol wake me up, and the scent is strange yet wonderful at the same time -- part medicinal and part alpine mint. It's especially pleasant to use during the summer months because it cools my skin and leaves it tingly. Other cleansing creams by Clean & Clear and Neutrogena have come out that are similar to Noxzema -- like Noxzema, they tingle and are rich and thick -- but nothing compares to the scent of Noxzema and the particular kind of tingle it imparts. Plus, these newer cleansing creams often contain salicylic acid, a chemical exfoliator which some users might like, but I find that if I use these cleansing creams regularly, the salicylic acid stays on my hands and starts to peel the skin on the pads of my fingers. That's another reason why I have stayed with Noxzema.
