ugh. what am i doing?! i just bought this two days ago & i NEVER review anything this fast! i force myself to wait at least two weeks to review something. i fall in love with makeup too easily & always want to run here & post my undying love for something that i generally end up disliking. but i HAD to do this review MUA, i just HAD to.

let me start by saying that my skin PMS's, even when i'm not. it is SO sensitive & switches from being dry to oily to flaky to combo-y to whatever. it drives me insane. and it always leaves me on a constant mission to find something to keep it calm. when my skin is calm, i reek of confidence & feel super good about myself, who wouldn't?!

most days, however, my skin turns oily. i work retail & am generally working 8 hours a day. i want something that will LAST and not make me look shiny. it never fails, though. everytime i find the new miracle product that everyone else on MUA has amazing results with, my skin rejects it & i am forced to keep looking. after working a 10 hour day last week, i told myself to just stop what i was doing, do some research/read reviews & spend a day testing items out.

i walked into sephora & cringed at the price of this product. WHAT?! $29!!!! ouch. for me, that is a LOT of money for a makeup product. let me just say that i LOVE urban decay. i think they are a little gimmicky & the packaging on their products is generally lame, but i love their actual products. i read everywhere that "all nighter" was the better of the two, but since i get so darn oily, i forced myself to try de-slick. i almost cried when i was given my total (i purchased a new BB cream, too $$$$) but put this product to work RIGHT AWAY.

my routine at first was to just spray it over my makeup & see how it felt. i am really weird with spray bottles & aiming them at my face, so i cringed the entire time. you know, like when someone has a hose & they're about to blast you in the face, so you sorta ball up & try to hide even though you know what's coming? yeah, it was weird for me. but upon my first application, i didn't feel any of the cooling-ness, or tingles or anything. my skin felt pretty good, actually. since i hadn't used the product as directed, i was okay with looking a little oily after a few hours.

then today happened. i worked an 8 hour shift today & beforehand, used this product as directed. i felt uneasy spraying out little bits of $29 onto my face, but i did so anyway & still felt no cooling effect or anything. i checked my makeup about 3 hours into my skin & was pretty happy. it was decent. but decent at best. i could tell that my skin wanted this stuff OFF my face so badly. come lunch time, i had to blot. my skin was not happy with this stuff. around the end of my shift, i had to touch up my powder. ugh.

so, in conclusion & my apologies for this book of a review; this stuff FAILS. it is mediocre AT BEST & is not worth twenty-nine-freakin-dollars. i am so unhappy with this. i really need something that will last 8 hours on me. blotting is okay, but having to touch up my powder is just annoying for me. i am definitely bringing this back to sephora as soon as i can. i *might* give the all-nighter spray a try, as it's been receiving the better reviews. either way, BOOOOOOOO! i really had high hopes for this!
