This cream, which comes in a 6 ounce pump bottle, is advertised as being both a styling cream and leave-in conditioner. At first I was having trouble with my hair looking very dirty and greasy, so I stopped using it the way the directions instructed (on wet hair after shampooing & conditioning). Now I shampoo my hair, skip conditioner, blow dry completely and then use a tiny drop of this. I use only about 1/4 of a pea sized amount, if that, rubbed through my palms and then lightly distribute this through my fine, shoulder length, layered hair, being sure to skip the roots. The oils provide a nice sheen & gloss, and if I flat iron the oils seem to protect it. The key with this product, I have found, is using it on **dry** hair and to only use a little bit (also works as a pre-shampoo conditioner, used on dry hair. Leave on for a while, then add shampoo to hair before adding water, like you would if you were using jojoba oil on your hair- to prevent the nightmare of trying to get the oils out once the oils & water bind to your hair). However, this still may be a little *too* effective and moisturizing for my hair type, unless my hair is dried out from a bad shampoo. I can see this working better for someone with coarse or thicker, chemically damaged hair (the hemp/coconut/jojoba oil combo really does help repair your hair). I will use this periodically & in the meantime, see if I can find something a little more suitable for my hair type.

I bought this in peppermint, though the Coconut & hemp oils give it a coconuty smell. It cost $10 at Whole Foods, but you can get it at vitacost for about $6.

edit 5/26/11- bumping this up from 4 stars to 5. I find myself reaching for this whenever my hair feels a little dry or crispy & it really makes a difference, as long as I use it as stated above, on dry hair only. And I still have a 1/4 of a bottle left from my original review & I use it frequently! I have really come to love this hair cream.
