Oh my, I think I'm in love. I knew I was in deep when I thought about throwing out all my other foundations. Coming from a girl who has a main makeup drawer, a backup makeup drawer, and a 'rarely use' makeup drawer...this is serious. I wanted to wait a week or two before reviewing, to make sure it wasn't just another crush, but I'm ready to admit my feelings and commit. This stuff is AMAZING!!!

I like mineral foundations, don't get me wrong, but when I want serious coverage, I go with cream or liquid. That is, until now. For reference, I have acne prone, combo to oily skin, in the fairly light to medium range with some hyperpigmentation issues from acne. No pitting scars or anything like that, but a lot of purplish-reddish marks from old and healing acne. (recently went on prescription meds) Also, I work 12 hour shifts with no time for touch ups -- so it's gotta last with no more than a little dusting of powder maybe once a night.

I've tried BE, EDM, and now this in the MMU department. Silk Naturals BLOWS AWAY the rest, for real. It is very finely milled, so it does not settle into fine lines like BE and EDM. For some reason it doesn't accentuate pores the way BE did either. It seems to balance my oil production amazingly (they claim the silk in the product does this.) This foundation in the full coverage version has much better coverage than either of the other two, comparable to liquid or cream foundations. It has never gotten cakey on me, even if I layer for heavier coverage. It's also much more blendable than the other two. (Say, if you put too much on and need to buff it in.) Their system for color matching is superb, don't be scared by mixing your own color match. It took me 10 minutes and two tries, and it's the best color match I've ever had. Partially because they explain their pigments so well, partially because of the selection offered.

This MMU lasted through a pool party (splashed in the face), a 12 hour shift, and a day of yardwork in 80 degree temps. (Yes, I wear makeup to do yardwork! :) ) Their finishing powders are superior to BE and EDM. It's a small company with a small but loyal following. Check them out at their namesake website. You'll be amazed!

PS - No breakouts after 2 weeks. In fact, my skin has cleared up significantly. Awesome.
