What it is: A matte pressed powder of varying neutral browned-rose and pale peach-rose shades. It's meant to enhance the complexion by adding a soft veil of color. It balances and brightens the complexion.
How it's worn: It can be worn alone as a sheer blush, as a base for brighter or deeper blush shades or brushed over the high points of the face (forehead, cheeks, chin) with a powder or blush brush to warm up the complexion.
Suitable for: Anytime, especially daytime for casual sheer looks.
Rose Glow is surprisingly sheer for how dark the tones are. I'm on the pale end of NW15 and I expected this to go on almost like a bronzer but when I applied it over powder (NYC translucent loose) it gave me a soft glow of warmth. The impact is a mix of face powder and blush, meaning it's not as concentrated as a normal blush but it gives more color than face powder. This is great as a stand-alone blush if you're looking for a sheer wash of color, or as a base for brighter/deeper shades that need a softer color underneath to help transition it into the skintone.
The only thing I don't like about this product is the packaging. I find it a little difficult to get the lid off. It's a pull-off separate lid, similar to powder jars. If the lid is put back on completely, it takes a little effort to pop the lid back off again.
Price: About $4.80 USD at Target.
