Catherine the Grape is from OPI's 2007 Russian collection. It's a rich plum with rosy gold shimmer. I'm not completely enthralled with this one on me (just like, not love), but it's still a beautiful, fairly unique shade and I think it'd flatter a wide range of skintones. I found this to apply very well with two coats.

Catherine the Grape, from OPIs Russian collection, is a plum purple with gold shimmer (although Ive heard some describe the shimmer as bronze). Regardless, this is a rich, beautiful color that will be perfect for autumn.
The first coat was a bit streaky, but a second coat really makes it work.
The color is reminiscent of another OPI favorite of mine, Route Beer Float. However, Catherine the Grape is less "muddy" than RBF.
This color is darker, yet brighter if that makes any sense.
It is definitely a must-have for fall. A lovely respite from the black and navy hues that are likely to dominate the season.

From the Fall 07 Russian Collection. Big rave for this shade! The color is like a lighter Misa Blackberry Jubilee. It's a medium-dark purple with a rose-gold shimmer and it's decently complex. The application was actually pretty great considering it's OPI's new formula, but I do have a couple errant bristles on my brush that make it application tricky. You can get OPI online for around $4 so the price is right especially considering the wear is really great. I would definitely buy again. PIC: continued >>
