This is a really fabulous powder foundation. Crazy in that its matte, but yes it is actually luminous. Your skin looks amazing! The colour range though is limited depending on which region you're in. For fair skin with mainly yellow undertones, 50 Poudre is brilliant. It can be applied with a damp sponge for a more velvety finish and longer hold, but I've found a dry sponge application works best. Fantastic to set foundation, or use on its own for a super easy quick routine. It provides light to medium coverage but it's also buildable to get slightly higher coverage. I've read that some have found it very sheer and that must be due to how they're applying it. It doesn't look cakey being a powder and the formulation is extremely fine milled, so it's very soft and barely there detectable. Finish is quite air brushed. It probably won't suit someone wanting to cover everything, you'll need concealer underneath. Plus like any foundation, unless it's industrial strength (who actually wants that on their skin!?), it'll give you mattifying action, but it's not going to completely stop your skin from producing shine, or absorb all the shine coming through. I got 5 hours before I saw a hint of shine - oily T-zone. The shine a few hours later again made me look like I had a soft glow, not greasy or oily and the foundation hadn't changed in colour, wasn't patchy and hadn't moved. After 9 hours things were much the same. Recommend!

My HG powder foundation; it has a medium coverage and a truly matte finish. I use it mostly alone when it's humid or very hot outside because I hate the feeling of liquid foundation melting in my face; I also use it to set light-medium coverage foundations that tend to give me an oily/shiny face.It is an expensive powder but in my opinion it's worth it; the longevity, in my case, depends in the weather and if I'm touching/leaning-on my face too often.

Best powder foundation that I have tried. I am NC15 and use B10. You can use wet or dry and the performance is there. The US packaging allows for refills, but they are only available in Europe, with limited colors. I have repurchased this product. Matte lumiere is a good name as that is the finish...not a flat matte, but great for my combo skin. I use this year-round; the adjustment for seasons happens with skincare. I prefer to use the sponge, which makes for quick application. There is a faint scent, but nothing I can recall at the moment, so I wouldn't let this hold me up. Recommend!

I bought this foundation because I read so many raves for it. Yes, I do agree with all who said this powder is finely-milled and very smooth. But that's about as much as I will agree. This foundation is just overly hyped. It is expensive but poorly-formulated because despite being meant for oily skin I did not find the oil-controlling power anything amazing. There are so many other cheaper and far better options out there. Don't be fooled by this - you are merely paying for the brand, not for the quality.

This does have a beautiful finish. But I wore it for ONE day and had breakouts. And I think the colors might be better on Asian skins? The undertones seem very yellow.I'm finding that with lots of Chanel products. I do realize that they are meant to complement the clothing collections but the "nude" blushes and li products are very "brown."

At first I have to say,I would not pay the full price for this.I just can't afford. But,I got it in a mini size 3grams and paid about 14$ of it.So,I'm happy I got this little powder,it seems to work with my skin. Was afraid that it would brake me out bad as some reviewers have been saying! It's terrible you pay almost 100$ of this and then you can't use it! I have no ability to take the product back and get money back. So this powder,it seems it's just a powder instead of powder foundation.Doesn't cover but it's so silky and also silky looking on the skin, beautiful.Gives a flawless finish and I noticed it lasts many many hours on my skin.My skin is more to the oily side,T-zone gets very oily after few hours. This keeps oil in control for many hours and stays put.Happy to use this!

Beautiful packaging. The only good thing about this stuff for me. At first I was impressed - it provides amazing coverage and makes the skin look silky. But it breaks me out like crazy. I cannot even wear this on special occasions since it only takes 3 hours and the first little pimples start to flush. Really bad. After a few days my skin was horrible. Terrible acne, red skin, crazy oiliness... I wish it would have worked - the packaging is beautiful and the finish nice. But it did nothing for me.. If your skin is sensitive/combination and prone to acne - better stay away from this :( my friend experienced the same..

I love it! It feels great on my oily skin, keeps the shine off for many hours. I used MAC powders in the past, this one is definitely better.

this foundation/powder is to die for, the texture of the powder if very fine and silky, the coverage is light to medium. and the packaging is classic chanel, clssy and elegant! for a super flawless look, what i use it for, buff on a little bit of my foundation, i usually use chanel or nars and use this s a setting powder. FLAWLESS. at 72 dollars Canadian this stuff isnt cheap, however i do love my high end products and think this is worth the money! give it a try, im sure most people with normal to oily skin will love it:)
