I picked this up at my local Bed, Bath and Beyond for around $10 about 2 years ago. (For those of you considering trying out an epilator, and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a good way to start.) I agree with one of the reviewers before that mentioned that you have to circle around hair to get the finer hairs, it sounds silly, but it really works. I use this for my thick-haired …Read more

Garbage! It made me break out, and it still didn't get all of the hairs. I used it on my face. It broke hairs off my face, so the hair was still there. Just like the Epilady shaver, it tugs at the hair, and then I'm left with a rash that gets inflamed and then looks like really bad teenage acne. I do not recommend this to anyone. Shaving my face gets me better results! I will …Read more

Edit 3/3/09: This thing is total crap. The pain is unbearable & results time consuming. It'll be up for swap or in the trash....
Update 1/2/09: I've since revised my rating. This tweezer thingy is very painful and doesn't do a very good job. You have to go over the area for quite a while and the pain level is pretty high. I would NOT recommend this!
Unlike the …

Wow, this thing works great on the face! I have had other, more expensive epilators for the face that couldn't compare to this one. It tweezed even baby fine short hairs easily and quickly. The only thing it wouldn't get is short stubbly hair on my legs, but I don't think it's meant to be used on the legs anyway. Since it tweezes so many hairs so quickly, it is a bit painful …Read more

I've been eyeing the emjoi line for awhile now; been hesitant spending $80 on the full size model when I saw this version in a local Rite Aid for $20. This version has one tweezer "plate" whereas the full size versions have from 30-36 "plates". I've only been using this a week and I already love it! I don't understand the reviewer who said she ended up with …Read more

Best $20 plus the cost of batteries I've spent on hair removal in a long time! I don't understand the negative reviews. It clearly states on the product pamphlet that it is not for use on brows. Let me tell you what happened to me, then you decide. Last week, after 8 days of excruciating carpal tunnel pain in both hands my face was a mess the night before the morning I was starting my …Read more

I could have flushed $20 down the toilet and had better results.
This thing is utter crap.

I can't believe I fell for this concept again. Does anyone remember the Epi-Lady?
After following directions, I attempted to "tweeze" my upper lip to get one stubborn hair. After removing the top layer of skin, the hair still remained, and I had to use tweezers anyway. Now, I have a patch of raw skin that looks horrible.
Clamshell packaging....need I say more? Save …

This little guy is great. I get some thick dark hairs on my chin and upper lip and this is perfect for getting rid of them. Found it at Walmart in the "As seen on TV" section. The only thing I wish it had was a protective cap on top. Easy to use, runs on batteries, cost $20.00.
