Studio Face and Body Foundation

This is a thin, light to medium coverage foundation I bought N2 (comes in fewer shades, a few darks but not very very dark so sadly, if you are richly dark you may have issues. Bummer) The consistency of the foundation is exactly like Calamine Lotion. A brush helps. I also use a beauty blender but it sinks in a lot. Good buildable coverage, who said it's like BB or CC cream? It is. But unlike BB or CC cream, it lasts all day. With setting spray, I get a good 14 hours wear. The finish is natural and fresh. The 120 ml bottle is a better deal than the 50ml but you may not like it so on refill, if you do like it, you can save on the bigger flask.

Over the years, I have purchased so MANY different foundations - from high end brands to low end brands - all in search of my Holy Grail foundation. Alas, I still have not found it. But because I own so many foundations I've decided to start reviewing them. Up first: MAC Face and Body. I really like this foundation. It's light but buildable and kind of "glowy" which is my preference. I have repurchased and it will stay in the "rotation."

It's working, but it's way too expensive. There are drugstore foundations which will do the same job + have the same ingredients. Not sure why I should pay so much for this. Wouldn't recommend it.

I absolutely love this! I normally don't wear foundation and I love a good tinted moisturizer and this does the trick. It is not heavy and it is buildable. It does not look cakey and it gives me a nice glow. I used the MAC Radiant primer with it, which does help to make it last longer but my forehead still gets oily. I use the NYX blotting papers to deal with that. Also, some foundations I have tried ages me and this does not. I like the bottle too as it is travel friendly, I will definitely repurchase this.

Cult-favorite? Makeup artists' fave? I used to also wonder why until I own it. The texture is very runny for a foundation. With the plastic bottle and droplet-like on top, I simply put a few drops in my hand. I read some reviews and most of them said the best way to apply it is with your hands. Until It feels tacky on your face. I believe them wholeheartedly and do just that. Ah...at my first layer, it is very sheer. And bcoz I'm a tinted-moisturizer woman, this pleases me quite nicely. It evens out my skin tone. Lightweight and light coverage. The finish is also giving me a glow. And I'd say staying power is 8+ hours. A little concealer, setting powder and I'm good to go. It said to be buildable. and the name is 'face and body' for something, isn't it? Once it sets, The color won't transfer, smash&smear to your clothes. Oh my.. mess-free!. Confession here that I haven't had any chances to proof this yet. But I'll update soonest. I'm quite an oily-combo, so I blotted my face during a day once or twice. The foundation still stays and looks good on me. The best part of it that strikes a 5-lippies from me is.. I can mix it with any other of my liquid foundations. And transform them into a glowy and less powdery, more skin-like foundations. With of course a 8+ hours staying power. I happened to discover this by accident. As I bought a too light color for my skin and I didn't want to just throw it away. So I made use of it by mixing it with my darker foundations and bang! Given the price and the travel-friendly bottle.. and also It's not hard at all to find a MAC shop ones. Most important thing is it doesn't give my any break outs. MAC Face & Body, I heart you!

Light but buildable coverage. Best applied with fingers. Beautiful, glowy and looks like skin. A really nice foundation for every day but also looks lovely in photos.

After years of foundations clinging to patches, turning orange, or breaking me out, I've found the one for me. The coverage is sheer but buildable. It's the perfect daily foundation. I've never had trouble with it over sunscreen. Definitely worth getting shade-matched at MAC and seeing if it's enough coverage for you before purchasing!

Since I entered my late 30s I have done a full U turn as far as foundation goes. I used to prefer a matte full coverage when I was younger but now that looks drying and ageing on me. I now have less oily skin, more normal/dehydrated, and I have been venturing into the lower coverage more Dewy finishes which are way more flattering. Since I first tried face and body around a month ago I honestly haven’t reached for anything else. I’ve not found a match in any other Mac foundation but N1 in this works perfectly. It lasts all day in hot and humid weather which is perfect for summer and it looks so beautifully skin like and just like healthy skin. I don’t use a primer with this and find it works well with just my moisturiser and Clinique city block spf underneath. It is best applied with fingers In my opinion, is easy to build up to light/medium coverage. It is pretty dewy and does need setting with powder to stop it getting too shiny later in the day. All in all it’s just lovely and I am so glad I finally tried it.

I love this foundation. If you have dry skin and enjoy that natural look this is the foundation for you.

Love this foundation and feel like I finally found the one for me. Smooth, natural and dewy finish. Very light application but can be layered without lolking heavy. I love a natural look and dont like heavily made up, so this is perfect for me. Need a little concealer for pigmentation, but MAC’s pro long wear does a good job for that. Definitely will buy again and so happy I found this foundation! Skin has never looked better
