Out of all of my recent purchases, this is my favorite.
You get three full-size products (Highlighter, blush, lipgloss), each in colors that should fit both warm and cool tones, and each with buildable color.

I've only given it four lippies because I feel that a lip brush, or even a place to put one in the palette, would have been a very nice addition. The lipgloss is very soft, and I feel it's hard to control the amount of product I'm actually putting on without some type of lip brush. This will probably become my HG palette for travel. So far I'm loving it.

I was really hesistant about purchasing this product. It comes with a steep price tag of $45 and I felt like the colors in the palette weren't all that unique. Was I ever wrong! This palette reminds me of effortless french chic.... the blush is a very pale soft pink. I am pretty pale as well. The first time I tried it when I was wearing bronzer but the color seemed to disappear in the bronze shimmer and didn't look like anything. The next time I tried it I was running out the door and had just powder foundation on and wow instant pretty flush. It made me look like I was glowing on the inside - but very soft and natural. I used the pretty white highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones and near my temples. I also use this as an eyeshadow and to highlight the tear ducts - instant brightness and makes me look awake. The gloss is a beautiful bright rose that again looks so natural. It is very moisturizing and leaves a slight stain of rose on your lips once the gloss has worn away. This palette is an instant go to for me - I know it will leave me looking sophisticated and its very simple to use. Just through on this with some black liner and mascara and instant glam. The mirror is so nice and huge! Overall I am very impressed and would highly recommend this product.

I had just purchased the Imperial Bedroom palette when I happened to notice this palette as well at the Fresh store. I thought it might be redundant to get this one as well, but it was so freakin gorgeous I went ahead and did it anyway. I am so glad I did too! The highlighter is AMAZING, it's so sheer and almost has a cool purplish-greenish shimmer to it, but in a good way, not an 80's glam rock way, and it is really smooth too, which the one in the Imperial palette is kinda creamy and doesn't blend as well. The cheek color in this palette is perfect, a nice pop of pink, very healthy and not too pigmented so it's easy to work with. The lip is one of my favorites! It just looks like that gorgeous snow white bitten sort of look, not too heavy but with a bit of color. Absolutely recommend! You can do your whole face with this and mascara!

I'm really quite pleased with this. I was given a gift-certificate to Sephora for Christmas, and this was one of my purchases ... so I'll go out on a limb and say that I think this would make a good gift ;)

I never would have bought this unless I'd tried it out on a whim in the store ... when I look at it the highlighter looks too bright, the blush looks too pink, and the gloss looks too dark.
I was completely wrong about all these things!

The highlighter IS pretty bright, and an over-application could indeed leave one looking a bit silly, but used lightly and blended well, it's just lovely. You can vary it between a nearly undetectable light glow all the way up to as bright (and probably brighter) than you want to go. It can also multi-task as an eyeshadow. I mainly use this to highlight cheek- and brow-bones, blending it in well.

I was most wary about the blush .. it's hard for blushes to look right on my pale skin with naturally rosy cheeks ... in fact I spent a long time thinking that I couldn't wear blush, and have only recently changed my mind. This blush is another product where a light touch is the best approach (at least for my very fair coloring). This just gives me a bit of a glow, and helps to sort of give focus to my naturally red cheeks. It is also good in combination with a darker or more natural blush color, just at the apples of your cheeks to make the color really "pop".

The gloss is just an all-around nice color, which comes out much more light and natural than it looks in the pan. Like my cheeks, color tends to stand out too much on my lips, and it's hard to find one that looks nice instead of garish - this one achieves that quite well. The gloss has average lasting power, but it leaves behind a light berry stain.

My only gripe is that it can be a bit of a challenge to pry my palate open .. so I'm hoping that will get easier with use .. which I know it will get a lot of!

UPDATE - bumping my review from a 4 to a 5 - I can't get enough of this palette. This plus foundation and mascara is all I need for a really beautiful, polished look. It's so pretty that I'm always happy to be using it, and the palette does open easier once you've used it for a while.
If anyone knows of a perfect dupe for the lip color, drop me a line ... I adore it, and it will be easy to use it up before the blush and the highlighter.
The highlighter is slightly dry when you first start using the palette, but once you've used it a few times, it becomes creamier; as though there was just a light top layer of dryness.
UPDATE (again): just a highlighter tip - if the highlighter is too much for you, try picking up a reasonable amount on one finger, and then picking up at least as much clear lip balm (I use Smith's Rosebud Salve) with another finger. Blend both on your hand, and then use the resulting thinner highlighter. It has the added benefit of adding a balm-y gloss to the cheeks and wherever else it's used ... that fades in an hour or two, but the sheered out highlighter application is ideal.

This little gem has replaced three products all at once! Love everything about it...I better buy a few more before they discontinue it. The pearly stuff is awesome on the cheekbones under the blush and the gloss is great. The blush gives you that just woke up in the country look...very fresh.

Satin Luster in Moonlight - shimmery silvery white highlighter

Blush Cream in Love - midtone neutral pink

Lip Shine in Glory - sheer burgundy with subtle silver shimmer

Product - A nice trio of neutral-cool pink-red shades - they look bright in the pan but are surprisingly wearable. The highlighter is a cream-to-powder formula, so the texture is a bit firm and dry for my preference. The creme blush is a pleasant surprise, a great shade for my AAB/NC25 skin, not too bright and not too light; the texture is very smooth and creamy and easy to work with. The lipgloss is shiny and very sheer (don't be scared by how deep it looks in the pan, it's not nearly so on the lips), and the texture is soft and slick; stains lightly and wears off quickly.

Comparisons - Cooler toned than the similarly packaged Memoirs of a Geisha palette.

Packaging - Black plastic compact with beveled edges and full-size mirror under the lid. Three pans of color in a white insert.

Overall - Love this. Great compact of finger-friendly shades. continued >>
