I never wear men's fragrances. No matter how high-quality or well-blended it is--and no matter how good it smells on a strip or on a man--the second I spritz it on I might as well be wearing a teeshirt that says, "Don't stand next to me, I've just fallen into a tank of cheap aftershave." Not so with Baldessarini Ambr. The fragrance begins with bright, fresh top notes of citrus and red apple, which is nice, but the drydown is where the magic of the scent really shines through. . .Labdanum, amber, and rich woods rounded out with the barest touch of vanilla and an even lighter breath of clean leather. It's beautiful on me, but I certainly wouldn't call it feminine or even "unisex," though I am sure it would smell equally beautiful on a man. A rare and perfect scent that defies categorization; I believe it would work equally well for casual or formal wear, on a woman or a man, day or night, warm weather or cool.
