I love this mascara and because it's 75% off at CVS right now and I have coupons, it became incredibly inexpensive. I love the brush which is like a de-tangling comb in miniature. The extreme black is nice and dark and I get no irritation although I wear contacts and have very sensitive eyes. I haven't noticed any fallout.

It applies very wet and I have to let it dry or I will get black spots where my lashes hit my lids. But that may be because it is brand new and needs the 2 week cooling off period that lots of mascaras seem to need. I'm buying every single bottle of this that I can find! If they really are discontinuing it ... I'll be so sad!

I've never found a drugstore mascara that I liked until this one. For many years I've only bough Dior, Prescriptives, Benefit etc. because the drugstore ones would always flake or give me raccoon eyes. While the Lash Maxx maybe isn't as thickening as the higher end ones, the important thing is that it does thicken very well without flaking. It stays on very well too. The applicator is different, but I really like it. It lets me be very precise with application, and I never get any mascara on my lids as I sometimes do with regular type applicators. Love it!!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! this. I bought the blackest black one. after reading the reviews I was nervous about buying but got it half price at walgreens, it also came with the kohl pencil and I also love that.
anyway if you hold the brush at an angle and drag it up through your lashes while trying to blink that works the best. don't zig zag back and forth that just clumps it up... after a few coats my lashes were a lot longer, curled and so thick. they looked fake. this is by far the best mascara I've ever used. I will definately buy this again.

Just when I've sworn off drugstore mascaras, I try Rimmel Lash Maxxx. What a find! The pink rubber/plastic brush applicator is wonderful for coating lashes down to the roots - and for the first time, I don't need to tint my blonde eyelashes as the brush coats every little lash from root to tip. Don't wiggle the brush, just stroke it over lashes to avoid clumps. The only drawback is that the formula lengthens my lashes dramatically, but doesn't add much volume. It's cheap, widely available, and makes my lashes look just as good as when using Diorshow mascara...but without the hideous constant flaking of Diorshow. I'll definitely buy again! Hopefully they'll expand the color range and add in an eggplant or dark green shade. continued >>

did NOTHING! Thought the brush/comb would work well, but its actually worse than the regular spooly brushes~ if the comb had smaller teeth, it would be better perhaps...? the formula was pretty bad also ~ no maximizing of any sort...

Another great let-down in my search for my HG mascara....This is so not lash maximizing! The funny brush in this one is really no better than your typical spooly. And the formula is pretty poor. It is thinner than most mascara formulas and it got really clumpy by the time I was able to build up to the thickness I like. Meh - I don't think I'll finish the tube....

I go for lengthening over anything else. This gave good length and seperation - by that I don't mean "spidery" just long and whispy. Walgreens had it on sale buy one get one free, so it was a good deal. In a pinch and on a budget it's not a bad find - if you're not looking for fake clumpy drama. You can get coupons too, for the price - it's worth a try :)
