Every single time I wear this everyone at work always askes me what I am wearing. It's a superb fragrance. Unlike any rose scent I have ever smelled. It is truly original and one of my favorite all time fragrances.

I basically agree with ALL of the reviews below, it's a nice rose with incense and woods that make it interesting and not powdery or old woman-rose. Reminds me of Le Labo's Rose - no they dont smell exactly the same but Im referring to the fact they they are both interesting incensey roses that could easily be unisex. The main difference is the addition of wood to PR. Won't be buying a FB though, prefer Le Labo's.

Pinewood incense, resin, possibly the rock rose and woods. Rose is in there somewhere, as a very nice rose incense. Then sandalwood dust creeps in, like powdered incense. In the end, a bit too woody for me, but nice nonetheless. A great rose blend, with a lot more going on than just rose, but the heavy wood takes some of the charm away for me.

A rose by any other name? I normally hate rose scents because they never capture the true spice or wet quality they can posses. This does so but mixes it with heavy incense. While this has many other notes in it all I get are resins, woods, and rose. The black currant and coriander are so well blended with the main notes you can't really pluck them out. I think they help bolster the qualities of the rose. This perfume always gets compliments and is truly unisex. I don't know if this will wear well in the summer.

I've tried rose after rose after rose and not found anything that satisfied my quest for a dark dusky deep rose, UNTIL I found the gloriously beautiful Paestum Rose!!!!!!!!!If I could give this one ten stars I would. Chandler Burr, the New York Times Scent critic gave it his top five stars and deems it a "Masterpiece" and I concur whole heartedly. It is also my first encounter with an incense that I can't get enough of. I also find this to be one of the most comforting scents I've ever worn, sillage is very good without being offensive and it is definitely one of the most long lasting of all my fragrances. It almost makes me cry it is so beautiful, give it a try!

1st try- Soft, dry incense, lots of rose! Nice cool scent for summer nights? ..2nd try- Wore to club, dry incensy green chypre w/ intense rose. wow. Make that Intense Rose w/ incensy chypre background. A real standout. Still smell on skin in am. Good for daytime or hot night, not a "warm" scent. Update~ seemed more masculine each time I wore it, & a lil high pitched/sharp as well compared to the other roses I like.
