Okay I am a medium brunette with red undertones. I decided to dye my hair multiple times over 2 years and each time they were a different shade of dark brown to dark red. Finally I dyed my hair jet black and it did not fade like the others. First I tried 2 vitamin C treatments to remove the color. They helped a little but this product took away almost every bit of dye that has built up on my hair …Read more

My hair is naturally dark brown, and I took it all the way to platinum blonde. Since I seem to have a hard time committing to one hair shade, I decided to dye my hair a cherry coke color that went wayyyy too bright and didn't suit me at all! Color oops was able to take out all the red and I left the product in for about 40 minutes. It took me back to the nasty yellow brassy bleach stage …Read more

I have used boxed hair dyes for years, but this time, I thought it would be more dark brown and it was really more a dark red. Not what I wanted. I knew it would lighten, but not sure I wanted all the holdiay photos to be with that hair color. Found Oops and thought what the heck. It smells so awful, like when you had home perms done in the 70's. I followed directions, rinsed for 15-20 …Read more

I have been box dying my hair for about a year. I used multiple brands all within the medium/dark brown range and sometimes a reddish brown. My hair seemed to become super dark from dying over and over again. I used this product to get out as much dye as possible. It did take a lot out but my hair was left an orangey/light brown. I only did it once because the process was long. I was in the …Read more

Okay ladies and gents here's the real real about this product. So if you're anything like me, you dye your hair a lot. I've been every color in the natural spectrum from bleach blonde to blue black with some unnatural colors in between. So i get a real bad case of color buildup. So you need to understand this. Color WILL NOT lighten pre colored hair. So you will notice that your …Read more

I used this product years and years ago and wasn't that impressed with it, but I also had multiple years' worth of black box dye on my hair, lol. Bought and used it again recently, so buckle up:

I won't ramble on about my hair history. The debriefing: Green hair for a few months, dyed it black, two months later I want to go back to a color close to my natural. Used …

My hair is naturally dark brown. I dyed it black, and got tired of having to redye it every few months, so I decided to strip the color. I left it in for exactly 20 minutes and then washed it out. My hair was extremely dry and damaged. It is also red now!! My hair has never been red!

I love this product and would recommend it. While it will leave your hair feeling straw like, just put a hair mask in and put a cap over your hair and leave in for a few hours or overnight. Don't dye you hair right away. I never have and I just don't think the hair could take it. Each use is said to take each layer of dye, out of your hair. I jump around in colors and I use this a few …Read more

This worked wonderfully for me. Took out the black/blue dye in my hair and left it dark brown (my natural color). You really have to follow the directions, it's a ton of rinsing out the hair (I rinsed mine out for about 30-35 minutes) and shampooing. The products smells horrible, like rotten eggs so I took off a lippy for that, and it also left my hair quite dry (no surprise there), but …Read more
