I must say.... this fragrance is literally breath-taking... the most beautil gardenia note i have ever smelled i think. The QUALITY IS HUGH / OVERWELMING... it opens smelling like living flowers LITERALLY.I just can't take.... it smells so ROYAL and fairytale like, it's a little intimidating cause this isn't a casual scent, I get small hints of gardenia or soft petals as it dries down... it's like being immersed in flower petals, many fragrance can give you the ideal of florals Creed gave you a living bouquet of wedding florals in a bottle it doesn't get more realistic than that.

I am not sure if this 2012 version has been reformulated or just re-released. It is a very fresh and wearable gardenia scent. It is well suited for daywear and appropriate for the office as well as evenings. I could also see this being perfectly acceptable for girls of any age. It reminds me of a little of Marc Jacobs Perfume. At first spritz there are beautiful natural floral notes much like those in Jasmal. There is also a constant buttery note like the one in Michael Kors but much lighter and more subtle. The dry down brings less of the salty buttery notes and returns to the gorgeous smell of a bouquet of fresh flowers. This is a very pretty fragrance but I prefer a sweeter gardenia. The most enticing notes in this scent can also be found is Jasmal.

Love this scent--it smells... well unisex. I believe it would be just as appealing on man or woman, and in that same token it would just as appealing to a man or a woman. It's soft but very present, and every so often i find myself raising my wrist to my nose to get a whiff. Just yummy, I wish I could find this discontinued fragrance.

Notes:TOP: Peony, Orange, Italian Jasmine, Bulgarian rose, Iris from Florence,MIDDLE: Miami Supreme Gardenias, Rare gardenias from Asia and French Polynesia,BASE: Vanilla, Ambergris; Royal sandalwood from the City of Palaces in India. Fleurs De Gardenia (2006 limited edition release - FdG). A UNISEX gardenia fragrance. Quite interesting, considering that I have never seen or tried a gardenia-dominated unisex fragrance. My curiosity piqued, I set out to discover how Creed intended to accomplish this .. and whether they succeeded at it or not. FdG opens with a light almost watery floral note encircled by a citrus essence. Shortly, jasmine makes an appearance, and enrichens this opening accord. The jasmine is never indolic or heavy. Despite the presence of two floral notes (peony and jasmine), this initial accord clearly smells unisex due to the presence of a very well blended orange note. Mission (half) accomplished, I was eager to observe how the gardenia dominated middle notes would phase. With gardenia essences collected from every corner of earth, this was a gardenia big bang waiting to explode on my skin. Will Creed succeed in tempering a estrogen injection that a hefty infusion of gardenias usually bring about? Well, yes they will actually. The gardenia heart is surprisingly well behaved - instead of a rich floral bouquet, what I get is a controlled display of understated gardenia essences. It smells great without being loud or heady. The drydown is a deep and very pleasing musky, slightly salty accord with a light gardenia note wafting in and out. While the sillage is cut in half when the gardenia heart is exhausted, the drydown lasts a long time and stays close to skin - I could smell it 7 hours after application.Creed has succeeded in creating a unisex Gardenia scent. At every level of its construction, the composition is perfectly balanced by notes which prevent it from being overly floral. The profound salty-floral (!) drydown is addictive and longevity is high. Fleurs de Gardenia proves flowers aren't just for women. I highly recommend this hard-to-find Creed.
