Do you want to know what this is? This is horribly scratchy brush with abrasive bristles that doesn't deposit powder correctly, let alone quickly. For starters, it takes about 30 swipes to actually get the powder on your face. It's relatively inconvenient. Not only that, but it's expensive. I can handle a poorly made brush if it's cheap, but this expensive? You must be kidding me.I generally don't like giving bad reviews but this really was pretty horrible. Putting the powder in wasn't too difficult, but it still annoyed me to great lengths. I never liked those attached brushes for anything, including foundations. They do not work for everyone. I know for powder I like using a fluffy powder brush to pat it on and then knock off excess. This is so wasteful in product and so absolutely gimmicky. If you're on the go and must powder ASAP fine, it's nice to have. But you know what else you could just do? Have a slim compact of pressed facial powder in your purse with a velour puff or a sponge lying on top of it. Wash the sponge every few days and keep up with your products. There's really no need for this. It isn't comfortable to use, nor is it very effective.

I swapped for this retractable kabuki. I use it when I travel, but not when I'm at home. It is a very dense kabuki (so it takes a couple days to dry) and very soft. Mine sheds a good amount which makes me sad. I would love it more if it shed less. I've washed it several times, and it has not stopped. The pink aluminum case is cute, I like the retractable-ness to keep it dust-free and from being crushed. I use it for pressed powder application and sometimes powder blush application.Overall, I still like it.

pink retractable kabuki is very cute! much softer than the original kabuki. got this in a set with a pink shimmer for all over body. its great for mineral makeup application and even better for foundation application.(i just discovered that after experimenting with my brushes)....but too faced also makes a pink retractable kabuki that is super soft...as much as i love my bare escentuals kabuki....i prefer too faced*

This is a pink metallic retractable brush that comes in a duo set with a jar of rose gossamer powder. I was looking for a portable brush and even when I don't own regular bare escentuals brushes (they could use a lot of improvement) I decided that if this brush was crappy at least was something that I will toss in my purse without guilt. I was sold for the pink color too.Well, the brush is much better (and bigger) than expected, it is softer than regular bare escentuals brushes, and fluffy. Holds and applies color as a dream, and so far no shedding (had some when new but it stopped).Plus I got a huge jar of rose gossamer that I use very sparingly over my cheecks and a little tiny bit on the tip pf my nose. Gorgeous. This powder is awesome also for the rest of your skin for a nice and beautiful night out glow.I would have rated it 5 if not because I find really annoying that they don't sell the brush and gossamer separately AND because the whole portable purpose is not meet at all because of the size of the brush. Other than that will repurchase any of these two if needed :)

I used to have the Bobbi Brown Kabuki and I liked it because it came with a protective leather case, but it would get dirty and the brush would often times get caught in the zipper...The BE Retractable-Kabuki is user-friendly not to mention purse-friendly...comes with a long handle and is just super cute! Very clean also! I just wish they sold it by itself and not in a duo...

This is a brand new brush from the BE stable and is this full size full coverage kabuki but, in a retractable unit, this is packaged in a really beautiful pink retractable unit and is just the perfect thing to carry with you. This came in the 'beauty duo' set with the gorgeous Rose Gossamer. I managed to get mine on eBay and it is worth every penny and then some. Its beautifully soft and just perfect not just with the rose gossamer but, with all the BE face foundations, all over face colours etc. I am currently using mine with my staple Pure Radiance.
