Ok so I bought this to apply full coverage liquid foundation... and it took a learning curve... but to do so (and boy is it FULL coverage), ya do little strokes up and down like a painter but MINI TINY up and down. You’ll Have Doll Skin. However.. I’ve decided I prefer a tradition synthetic soft paddle foundation brush or stippling or super soft kabuki (flat or round)... or the good ol blender …Read more

I don't care for this brush and I rarely use it. The application just takes too long. The brush itself is small, and to avoid streaking you must use very small strokes. For special nights out I use this brush because it does give flawless coverage if you are tedious enough but for everyday use it's just not practical for me. It really does give an airbrushed finish if you have the time …Read more

The MUA showed me how it works, and it looked good so I bought it. However, when I used it myself, I found that it is very difficult to get right, as the bristles are quite stiff, so you end up with streaks. I think it would work better if using very small strokes, but hey, who has the time in the morning to do this. Stick to the 190 foundation brush or maybe the newer 193 (which I have not …Read more

This is without a doubt for me the best foundation brush ever! I already had the 187, 188 and 190 MAC brushes and some other foundation brushes by Chanel and Estee Lauder. When I saw this one in the store, I was so curious I decided to buy it. I was in love with this tool from the very first use and now I never reach for my other brushes anymore.
My HG foundation is the Estee Lauder Double …

I got this with Studio Sculpt foundation cause it was promoted at the same time. It's like a usual paddle foundation brush but it's not tapered, it's extra flat, and the bristles are firmer.

PROS: The firmness is good, it's got a "spring" action to it when it bends; it's not floppy or smushy. The bristles …

I was eyeing this brush since the day it made its debut but ermmmmm, I guess it's good for applying moisturizer or primer or a mask or the studio mist foundation thingy it was released with some year ago. I tried applying my MUFE Face & Body with this brush and it was a huuuuge disappointment. Talk about messy and streaky and ughhhh. The bristles are lovely but too thin/flimsy, and the …Read more

My MA recommended this brush specifically for the Studio Sculpt foundation, I am not sure still if the squared angle is best for foundation application. The synthetic bristles are very soft but too soft and a tad on the shorter side. I just wish it was a little denser. My hunt for a good foundation brush continues..

To be honest there are better foundation brushes, but then again that is down to personal opinion.
I bought this brush after having my mu done by an ma at MAC and i was really impressed with the finish she got with it (i didn't think about the fact she used a 188 to blend) and bought it. However, i don't know if it was the fact i had only used sponges in the past but my foundation …

This was my first MAC brush I ever bough by recommendation from my MUA. It's a good quality brush as it's lasted for quite awhile but as a foundation brush It left streaks on my face and my foundation set before I could blend them away. I've found that this brush is helpful for applying face primer so at least I can use it for something and it's not a complete waste... but as …Read more

I picked this up when I bought the Studio Sculpt. What I use it for is to target certain areas and the brush is a little stiffer then a foundation brush. So it works better in getting into certain areas. I find that it works amazing with the Studio Sculpt foundation. I use it on my red areas and it helps to cover them up with ease. This will be my favorite tool!
