I'm overjoyed that Miller Harris has now added Rose en Noir to their main range. I purchased a bottle a few years ago at Liberty, in London, and fell head over heels in love. I was disappointed to see that it was then discontinued but it's back! Romantic, heady floral with long-lasting power, very sexy fragrance. Am hoping I'm dropping enough hints around the house so my man will …Read more

Yes, I have to agree: it is a dark and strong true rose scent.
Wearing it gives you that 1001 nights feeling and it is for sure not an everyday perfume but it is very appropriate for those special nights.
I am not sure if I would ever use a whole bottle up so I just try to get my hands on sample vials whenever I can.

A wonderful, long lasting full rose scent. I detect a wet, fat red rose in the middle and patchouli in the base of Rose en Noir. There is a spicyness in the mix some people might find difficult, I'm convinced there's cumin. It's not the overdose that Kingdom has, but it's definitely present. Luckily the patchouli does not fully take the lead like in Rose d'Homme (which …Read more

Interesting prickly herbal opening, fruity rose middle, stiff leathery base. But it's a promising idea that never gets off the ground--the notes don't really come together. It's like a rough draft.

Rose en Noir is indeed a femme fatale fragrance. And what makes a femme fatale? Attitude & Leather! Miller Harris has indeed created a fragrance that is made for a woman with attitude. Leather and rose are the gorgeous top notes. The leather's cool jet black and the rose is lush and dark blood red. Like many varieties of rose -- in addition to the magnificient epitome rose scent …Read more

Rose en Noir starts off innocently enough with a light, dewy rose, and a tart, sweet raspberry note - at this stage, it reminds me somewhat of KM's Gourmandises. ReN gradually becomes darker and more bitter however - most of all, I detect a potent, slightly spiced leather note. I have heard this scent referred to as a femme fatale fragrance, and it certainly is at this stage, but it lacks a …Read more

When I heard the fragrance notes for this scent, as well as the name, I was very eager to try it. I am always on the lookout for a perfume that will showcase the rose note, without turning it into a garden party complete with hat, gloves and watercress sandwiches. Fortunately, a dear swapper from the UK sent me a sample and I wasted no time slathering one wrist with the pale juice.

I …
