This stuff is the bomb. Truly. I have some melasma, and need a sunscreen with a high SPF. I tried two very good most- or all-physical blocks (La Mer SPF 30 and Shiseido Cream SPF 55) and both made my skin look perfectly awful--bumpy, dry, clogged pores, breakouts (big ones), all despite careful removal every evening. I read the reviews of this product and decided to give it a try. Wow. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and my skin looks and feels fabulous. Clear, even-toned (OK, the melasma is there, but otherwise ...), smooth as glass, soft and comfortable. And it is indeed a very elegant, fragrance-free formula. Obvious all-physical blocks aren't for me, but this performs extrenely well--I've had no tanning at all using this. I wear it over moisturizer and under primer and foundation with no pilling. The bad news: I believe Clinique has either discontinued the Cx line or is going to restrict it to derms' offices--I can't find anything definite on the web and am waiting for an answer from Clinique. I bought a backup tube despite the price. It's been quite a while since a skincare product--and a sunblock, at that--made my skin look this good. Highly recommended if you can find it and afford it.

Update 8/27/11: luckily (for me, since I still love it and haven't found anything better for me), this product is still available at Neiman's and Bergdorf's, although it's now $55 for a 1.7 oz. tube, as opposed to the $40 when I started buying it.

This sunscreen is very light, soothing, non-greasy, non-irritating, non-drying, and looks great on face as well. It feels like you are not wearing anything. It's not easy to find sun screen like this since I have sensitive, oily, blemish prone skin. The only negative is you have to wear it alone, can't have anything under or over, it would ball up.

Been using for a couple of weeks and so far, so great! Contains a combination of chemical and physical blockers. Feels lightweight and cosmetically elegant (much more so than Euro sunscreens IMO), non-greasy, non-irritationg and non-drying. No breakouts. Does not sting my eye area. Downside? The price! Active ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5%, Octisalate 5%, Zinc Oxide 4.6%, Titanium Dioxide 1.7%. Edit: Discovered UVA protection only PA++ or Boots 2 stars -- knocking rating down a star.
