Expensive, but worth it. If your body chemical is compatible with this fragrance, you will get a very soft lavendar scent, with just the faintest tinge of citrus, which stays very much in the background. The initial spray-on is just awful - overwhelming, sweet, and then it goes into peppery and sharp, and then finally into soft lavendar. The drydown is interest to say the least. But the payoff …Read more

The only thing holding me back from rating this higher is that I am not a fan of Lavender scented products. Most have a very synthetic astringency to them that is so different from natural Lavender, so I have been prejudiced against them. However, this one is very different...very real. I just discovered Creed Royal Scottish lavender recently. It's great. And it's a classic, having been worn by King George V of England. This scent has a tremndously calming note of lavender that must have soothed the royal spirit of King George V during moments of political tension in the kingdom! Creed combines the lavender with other notes that layer on the skin for a scent that …Read more

Royal Scottish Lavender opens with a clean, sweet, slightly earthy lavender and citrus notes. These are rapidly softened by the appearance of a rich vanilla. RSL is a very appealing lavender if you are a lavender person - not at all too sharp or astringent. Not being much of a lavender fan myself, I have my own personal reasons for liking this fragrance - I can apply it, congratulate myself …Read more
