I love the sheer wine shade. Wish I could figure out which one it is to buy in full size. The other colors didn't work for me at all and the packaging is meh. It's nice that the palette is so slim, but the glosses get all over the slide off cover and then transfer to my fingers.

Package and the name are very cute. Glosses go on sheer; even the least attractive one (orangey with glitter chunks) looks okay. Heatherette is a very pretty shade, great with a tan. Menthol smell is very strong and offputting however, and lips tingle for 10 minutes after applying. [Update: decided menthol smell is better than the smell of Revlon Superlustrous lg, so I added another lippie.] Price is cheap, but you don't get much product, so I'd say it's expensive for what you get.

i received this in a swap, and i wasn't hip to what it actually was. i was de-lited when i saw it! a modern girls money clip! a couple of the glosses in it are pretty gruesome (heatherette and the weird orange-y fake tan sparkly one) but the other 4 are actually good for cool coloring and i like them a lot...when they run out you can replace them and use the feisty kitten over and over. the little lip brush...eh. i feel silly using a lipbrush but that's just me. i immediately thought this would be good for using when you go out on the town, but i bet after a cocktail you would lose that little brush. i'm wondering how well a credit card will stay in if you slip it in your pocket, and putting something so close to your lipgloss that other people touch is another concern. i'm lukewarm about it, but was delited at the package. i'll update if i ever really put this in my pocket and hit the town.

I bought this for the packaging, I fully admit. It says "Feisty Kitten" on it! Too cute. You can replace the sliding Feisty Kitten top with your credit card or ID, which is a neat idea. My plan is to replace the existing 6 dots of XXX Shine Gloss with my favorite lipsticks, which will save a ton of space in my bag. For that reason it was a great buy for me.

However... I don't love the gloss in it. I'd never tried the XXX Shine Gloss before, and I really didn't care for the medicinal smell. Sure, it smells that way from the load of menthol in it, but I could do without that.

It contains several existing shades, and a few new ones. According to the UD website, it has "sheer wine, sheer neutral with sparkle, Heatherette, vivid pink, Carney, Naked" in it. I liked the sheer wine, and Naked was a nice nude color, but the rest I didn't care for. The vivid pink tone has a hint of blue iridescence. The sheer wine is very sheer, and looks like a hint of glossy berry, very nice. Heatherette was a taupe, frosty neutral shade that was too light for me. The sheer neutral with sparkle is a weird orangey brown shade with huge chunks of glitter. Carney was a basic sheer slightly sparkly sweet baby pink, not really my style.

The dots of gloss are about the size of a dime, and maybe a bit thicker than that. About 6-10 uses per shade I'd guess, depending on how you apply, not a lot of product. I like the lip brush actually- it will be nice with lipstick. If you want to sample the XXX shine gloss without wasting too much money on it this is a handy way to do it. If you're enchanted by packaging, this also is not a bad buy. But if you're looking for much else, pass.

EDIT: I used up the good glosses, and wiped the others out of the container, and replaced them with lipstick. Slice off a bit of a lipstick, nuke it in a plastic thingy, and watch to see when it melts (different for different lipsticks). When melted, pour into the Feisty Kitten. Cools almost instantly. Much more useful now, when loaded with MAC "O", VGV, Plum Dandy etc. I use it all the time. continued >>
