Doing an at-home resurfacing skin peel was kind of scary to me at first, but once I started using it I was so glad I did and wanted more! This kit is a great introduction into the world of glycolic peels and younger looking, better textured skin. I've been using this for 2 months now (1-2 times a week) and I'm still very pleased with my results. It's so simple that now I can do it in the morning as I get ready for work. It takes me 9 minutes to get coffee and feed the dogs - perfect timing - so in 10 minutes my skin is refreshed, super smooth and soft and ready for my morning routine.I purchased the full set but ended up using my regular cleanser and moisturizer, so I only use the peel pads and the neutralizing solution. Because I'm allergic to BHA and other things, this was a good choice for me with Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid (AHAs) and Gluconolactone (a PHA). I did the test before doing a peel and no negative reaction at all. I get a slight tingling on every treatment, but nothing uncomfortable. I do my entire face, neck, and even the backs of my hands until the pad is dry.I will be 46 in 4 months and I am really loving the texture of my skin now. Sure, I still have the hyperpigmentation, but my skin is smoother and softer, pores are less visible, and my makeup goes on much nicer. Not a cure for aging, but definitely an excellent tool to make my fine lines less visible and my skin look glowing and alive. Definitely recommended. UPDATE (2/18/2011): Although I have ventured deeper into the world of "at home" peels, I still use these pre-moistened, individually wrapped pads while on vacation and during travel. I still highly recommend them for convenience and ease.

I agree with other reviewers that this is by far the best over-the-counter home peel kit out there. Slight tingling sensation when you apply (it's a saturated, individually-packaged pad), leave it on for 5 min or so, spray with the neutralizer, cleanse with the exuviance cleansing gel, and wake up the next morning with noticeably smoother skin. Helps esp. with blocked pores. I use this to help with the little bumps, and then use Duac & Differin on a daily basis to keep larger problems at bay.

Best over the counter peel availible for the price. Dont really need the neutralizer its pretty mild compared to the TCA peels I've had. Cant remember how often they said to use it but I recommed finishing the kit pretty quickly for better, more dramatic results. The samples in the kit are great, but I dont think you should necessarily change your skincare routine like that. My skin was okay with the rest of the exuviance products but not great; little bit sketchy. Will continue to buy it. Make sure the kit isnt old, or the pads come a little dried out. By the way the philosophy and juice beauty peels suck compared to this one.

I use AHA and BHA products daily and skinceuticals retinol .5% every other night. I did not have any problems with irritation from this system. It contains nine 25% peel pads, cleansing gel, and a neutralizing lotion. Really, I did not need the neutralizer as this peel is very mild compared to using glycolic acid or lactic acid peels. Mandelic acid which is in this peel, is much milder than glycolic acid. I use this kit once or twice a week. I will continue to use it as it works with everything else I am using. The kit also comes with a 30 day supply of day and night cream. I would say that this is a great kit for those sensitive to high percentage glycolic acid peels or for those new to peels to give it a try. The acid peel is a 35% solution containing 15% mandelic acid, 5% glycolic acid and 5% gluconolactone acid. All products in the kit contain paraben preservatives. Update: I noticed that hsn.com has this kit for an unheard of price of $34.95. I paid around $58 for my kit.

this is a 4 step exfoliating system. dont let the word peel frighten you. its powerful enough to deliver results after just one treatment, but its gentle enough to use at home without worrying that youre going to fry your face off. its not something i would normally try on my own. i like to trade off exfoliating manually and chemically. chemical exfoliation does a more througough job, but i like the fun and scent of various face scrubs. exuviances packaging isnt very eye catching and the products tend to be expensive, but the quality is excellent. an exuviance representative gave me a training session and a demonstration today. basically, you just do the four steps right in a row. its very simple, and step by step instructions are included. there are 8 treatments in the kit (plus a test peel pad to make sure you dont have a reaction. swab this behind your ear to do a patch test.) which are to be done 8 weeks in a row. you should do the treatment no more than once a week. there is a 30 day supply of the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, plus multi protective day fluid and evening restorative complex.the peel system can be used anywhere on the body, but results are best on the hands, neck, face and chest.1. cleanse with purifying cleansing gel. (its recommended to follow with a toner.)2. peel - wipe the area with the single use peel pad. you can go over areas more than once if youd like extra exfoliation. the peel pad contains 15% Mandelic Acid, 5% Gluconolactone and 5% Glycolic Acid.3. neutralize. spray on the neutralizing solution thouroughly. the neutralized areas will make a white foam. tissue off. spray the area again to make sure the acids have been completely neutralized. tissue off.4. moisturize. the lotion included has 8% glycolic acid. im only 24, so i dont have any aging yet, but i do like to regularly and throuroughly exfoliate. i first tried the peel on my hand, then on my face. the area covered is incredibly smooth and is actually vribrant after having the dead skin lifted. this is the first exfoliationg product ive ever used that actually made my skin glow instead of only feeling soft.
