I had to have this. I just had to. Yes, there are similar colors but I had to have this in the original formula with the original NARS brush. I purchased this on eBay for a steal along with Schiap. Such a beautiful almost crelly-like finish. This polish is the height of blood red sophistication for fall/winter manicures. The brush was not eve that bad, I was able to coax an emaculate mani …Read more

There was a point in time when I owned almost every polish that NARS made. However I've gotten rid of 80% of them as I came to realize that his formulas are generally terrible and only a few colors are truly worth the price. (And difficulty of application)

China Town is a stunningly gorgeous blood red. It's about 1 full shade darker than jungle red with the tiniest hint of …

Gourgeously sexy colour yet horrible quality. This polish never seems to dry even when applied in thin coats. I applied it on several occasions because I really loved the colour and really wanted to wear this polish, but I ended up removing it after only a few hours because of the horrible quality. What a waste of money!

Iam on my 3rd bottle of this. It is my favorite fall-winter toe color. I also wear it on my hands with short nails. It is the most sophisticated DARK red ever. I cant live without this color. It is beautiful on fair skin. There is no dupe for this color, it is unique and there is no other that comes close.

I have a lot of dark red polishes, so I put off buying this one for a long time despite loving all the other Nars polishes I have. Now that's I've finally got this one I don't know how I went without it for so long. I know it the bottle, maybe it doesn't look like much, but when I lined it up and compared it with the other similar polishes I have this one just put them all to …Read more

Chinatown has been my absolute favorite toe color for about eight years, but the old formula chipped so easily. So when I heard NARS reformulated their polishes, I ran out and bought a new one. Sadly, the color is not quite the same.

My original Chinatown is a perfect dark red: the perfect balance between red and black, brown and purple. Have you ever seen an antique Chinese laquered …

NARS nail laquers are one of the best out there, even when one takes their rather high price into account. With that said about the product in general, this dark red is my HG shade for my toenails. It has the sophistication of Chanel's Vamp, but it is just so much more wearable. I hope he never discontinues this shade.

A gorgeous, blackened red. Dark, but prettier and more wearable than vamp. I always have this in my manicure bag. I think the quality has always been great great. FYI for people who hate NARS polishes, they've been reformulated. Give them another try.

A recent pedicure recommendation, this simple blackened red is sexy. Changing of the Garnet however, holds my loyalty - hence the lippie off. Vamp is more a blackened plum, Changing of the Garnet is a brighter burgundy with shimmer. Still, beautiful choice, particularly for stilettos.

My absolute favourite red. It's a dark, rich, elegant red with just the right amount of shine, and looks great with my skintone, NC30/35. The staying power is no good at all, but I want to try it with a topcoat of Revlon's ColorStay Sealant since that seems to make all my polishes stay on longer. I'd repurchase if I run out and still haven't found a cheaper lookalike (have …Read more
