I'm not familiar with Marcelle cosmetics. I hate to be rude, but I think their packaging and advert campaigns a lot of time seem to be over reaching in the sense that they try to appear high-end when it's plainly drugstore. Then today as I was browsing through Shoppers I noticed their line of bright lip liners and lip glosses. I made a few swatches on the back of my hand with testers and was totally amazed by how nice they were. The two lip liners I swatched were impeccably pigmented and vibrant! Something I don't see a lot in drugstores because these bright colours are eccentric and do not sell as well as the plain nudes and pinks. The two colours I swatched were Barely Pink, a pastel barbie pink, and Coral, an orange-y coral. Think Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj. Both colours are vibrant, finish matte and stay put. I also pinked up matching lip glosses in Angel (pink) and Lolita (coral). I do love them both and am excited to wear them.

Edit... nice lip liner but Annabelle has a great lip liner that I tend to use more often than naught! I bought this in nude and I can't believe how great it is. It's a great brownish pink colour that stays on really well. Waterproof formulation helps to keep it on my lips! I'm in love! I'm still taking off one lippie because I'm still on the search for my HG colour!

Marcelle is an underrated Canadian drugstore line and this was my first lip liner purchase. (I've been a devoted MAC lip liner gal) The texture is smooth and silky, doesn't tug on the lips and more importantly, it doesn't feather into lines. It does have good staying power and the Pebble shade is a lovely coral shade. It maybe too orange for some tastes, but it's perfect for my rosy pigmented lips.

These are the best lipliners I've ever used. The colour selection is good, they glide on very smoothly and stay put extremely well. Even after eating and drinking the colour is still there! Yes, reapplication is necessary at some point but the lasting power is still fabulous. They make a great base for lipstick and gloss and are only about 8 dollars Canadian at drugstores. My face shades are Nude (great neutral pinky-brown) and Perfect Rose (gorgeous neutral, medium shimmery pink). I will buy these always and forever, thanks Marcelle! :)
