I have a love/hate relationship with this makeup brush set. I love the leather travel case and the quality of the brushes overall. Durable & soft bristles that really pick up & apply product beautifully. I hate the length of some of the brushes - they're ridiculous. The blush & powder brushes especially...it's like I'm about to paint a huge fresco whenever I apply my makeup. There's a short handled brush set available, but the assortment of brushes in there are a bit more advanced. I like how this one covers all the basics (brow, concealer, lip, eyeshadow, eyeshader, eyeliner, blush & powder brushes). Expensive set, but worth the investment overall. This would make a great gift for any makeup lover.

The quality of these pony and goat hair brushes is excellent, but the price is outrageous for what you get. For example, an 8-brush set costs over $200 USD. If you check out the Internet, you can find quality brushes for a lot less. There is a professional brush set of comparable quality from makeup artist Yvonne Ouilette's website for half the cost of the Bobbi Brown brushes. I would not recommend purchasing these until you have checked out competing brands first.

What a great travel brush set! This set comes in a small black faux leather zippered case. The set contains 6 brushes: a mini face blender brush, eye shader brush, eye shadow brush, eye liner brush, eye brow brush, and concealer brush. The size of both the pouch and the brushes is really small, not just shorter length. It could easily fit into an evening purse, it's that dinky. Also, the quality of the brush heads is the same as in the main range, unlike some other brands - coughMACcough-. As such the price is really a bargain. In the UK this set retails for 65. The only brush which is different from the full size is the white face blender brush which is smaller in head size. However, the qulity is still excellent and a more sensible for a travel set. all in all, a much better travel brush set that some of the others offered by other brands for xmas. With this set and the Laura Mercier mini brush set, i've got almost every brush covered in a small size for my travelling make-up bag.
