I've tried other brightening makeups, such as Burberry's, and I much prefer this one. Burberry's is a bit thin, almost watery and Borghese's has a nice stay-put weight to it. I apply it mainly around my eyes and cheeks under my finishing powder.

This is listed in the liquid foundation category, but it is really a liquid highlighter/illuminizer. I am finding spectacular gems in the most unlikely places these days. Borghese is not a hip and trendy line, but a line of which I was only vaguely aware. After discovering and falling in love with their Creme Finish Foundation, I was given a generous sample of Splendore. After using Smashbox highlighter for years, I recently switched to Joie Maran as I preferred the more fleshy color of hers. Borghese's Splendore is more flesh-toned like Josie Maran's, but I find it much easier to work into the skin because it is not as thick. It imparts a really healthy and natural glow without any distracting glitter. The consistency is perfect for mixing into foundations, concealers and moisturizers. It also works great atop foundation. It is packaged in a pump, but the pump does not have a cover, which is potentially problematic for travelers. Other than that, a stellar product.

This is very nice on my eyelids on "no-time-for-makeup" days. It adds a bit too much glitter to my face for my taste, even when I mix it with moisturizer and set it with powder, but I do like it on my collarbones to balance out shimmery eye and lip looks. Too much product comes out of the pump. You have to be very careful not to get too much and waste it. I don't think I'd buy it again.

Beautiful highlighter in a nice neutral light beige tone. Most highlighter look too gold or peach on my skin. This gives a nice glow to my cheek bone area and eyelids. This is luminous without being glittery or chalky. i have very pale skin NW 20 ish with a slight pink tone. Ii don't use MAC foundation but I thick that is what I would be. I usually wear the lightest foundation shade with a slight pink or neutral tone.

Perfect as a highlighter, eyeshadow base and even use it on my shoulders and collarbones. I usually apply after foundation and before powder. Does need time to fully dry and getting used how to use this product. Love the pump and I do have to say; the bottle will last you a good couple of years!

After having my make up done at Bloomies , I bought this product with the clear instructions how to use it from the make up artist. If used correct this product will let you shine through the day into the night.Once you get the hang of it,you'll love the look.I apply right after sheer moisturizer or foundation, when face is still dewy. This makes all the difference for a nice equal easy spread.I place a tiny drop on my finger and place it where I want the hightlight/shine.Simply dab into skin.Too much, no worries. When face is still dewy, correct with a bit of moisturizer, otherwish, blend with bronzer or blush when dried up.It's also a great highlighter for the eyes especially on brow bone. For extra glamour I apply on eyelids, wait for it to dry and sweep eyeshadow over.>>>Do wash hands after applying!!!<<<

I love this makeup, especially when my skin looks dull or if I'm going out at night. It's meant to be applied over foundation or skincare or mixed with your foundation or moisturizer. I mix it in with my foundation when I need an extra glow. Don't go overboard - the smallest amount will do, otherwise your skin will look too shiny. You can even use this as a highlighter or as a wash for the eye area. Very pretty and versatile!
