I got this in a sample along with Stay Matte shadow in slate.

Packaging: Sensible with a mirror and applicator. sturdy enough.

Product: A Powdery eyeshadow with sheer (but build-able) shimmery color. The duo comes with a light lavender shade that is so sheer it almost looks silvery applied, and a brown shade that has a bit more pigment. Together they look lovely and …

I got this as in a combination lip and eye palette, but I'm guessing these sell for about C$24 + tax by themselves in Canada (Clinique.ca).
Bottom line: these eyeshadows suck. They go on very sheer and have little color pay-off. I think the only practical uses for these shadows are as bases or highlights, not as lid or crease color. They are both shimmery and have an incredibly grainy …

I think the thing with this eyeshadow is that you have to like a little bit of color showing, and that's exactly what I like. It doesn't have a lot of color when applied to the lid, but it gives the lid enough color. I usually apply it with some purple mascara and some purple gel liner. I have hazel eyes, but it makes the green in my eyes really pop. Everything's so light in …Read more

The colors look pretty in the compact, and the packaging itself is very cute and non-bulky with a little mirror. However, when applied, they go on very sheer and are not very pigmented. Good if you like a very natural look with colors that are barely there, but overall I didn't like it very much because you could barely see it. Might work better if you use a wet brush, but I havent tried …Read more

This colours look nicely in the pan, but they barely show up on my eyelids. Even if I apply a ton of shadow, you have to look closely to really see it.

Eh, it's okay. Not very intense on my lids, which was a real disappointment to me. I'm convinced that Clinique's eye shadows just aren't pigmented enough for me.

I love clinique but this is not one of the better shadows they have as it is very basic and dupable. I would describe the shades as followed- one is a plummy brown with a strong presence of greyish taupe. The other one is a very light and sheer lilac. The better of the two is the darker shade. However the shadows are not very pigmented and the colors are very sheer..just looks like shimmer. I …Read more

Well this was kind of a mistake. KIND of. While I love the shimmery purple taupe color, the light almost chalky lilac was just not a winner, and it's a shame that the size of the lighter color is so much bigger than the darker one. I find that Clinique eyeshadows aren't very dense with pigment, they are quite "fluffy" in that they're almost like loose powder and it is …Read more

I got this as part of a gift from a friend. The name of the product sort of bothers me because I see no "color surge" in this as another reviewer indicated. Inside the package is a soft lilac color paired with a dark-looking purple-taupe contour color. However when applied, the two are extremely subtle, even over a base (I use UDPP). The lilac color barely appears and seems to be just a …Read more

This duo is very pretty--a chalky slightly shimmery lavender shade paired with a deep shimmery taupe. I'm PPP and find that this shadow offers a subtle but still lovely effect and emphasizes the grey-blue color of my eyes. For those expecting a vibrant lilac, you will be disappointed though--the effect is very natural. I often get an allergic reaction with purple and pink shadows due to red …Read more
