Back in the halcyon era of MUA swapping, I received a vintage sample of this perfume. Sadly, I was much too young to appreciate such a mature fragrance. I don't think many women under the age of 35 will be drawn to this. Cut to today - I'm 35, 90% of my wardrobe is vintage, I routinely wear lipstick and pin curl my hair. Simply put, I wanted to experiment with fragrances to match my …Read more

I am fascinated by fragrance. This was my first mature perfume. Perhaps you remember the drama of Obsession when it came out. I loved it, but got bored. L’Heure Bleu has the same texture, but more interest and nuance. From time to time, the powdery aspect of it bugs me and I take it out of the rotation. I wear fragrance behind my neck, so only people that close to me and I can smell it. This is …Read more

This was one of my first Guerlain fragrances. Its a very strong scent on initial spray but it dries down to a lovely floral scent. This is one of my favorites and I wear it often. It lasts forever on the skin too. I can spray this in the morning and still smell it softly in the evening.

Love it! It does remind me of Oscar del a Renta a lot but it is a deeper and richer scent. My husband likes this one way better than the Oscar scents. It last forever on myself and the dry down is very warming and not synthetic at all. I have many Guerlain perfumes and this is another I have recently added to my collection.

Probably not a repurchase. Actually, it was a christmas gift, so not even a purchase. I have tried L'Heure Bleue many times over the years in both edt and edp.

This review is for the eau de parfum. The eau de toilette has absolutely no staying power on my perfume eating skin. I adore so many of the notes in this fragrance, and the drydown is heaven. My main problem is getting to …

Ach, I really wanted to love this after I read about it in one of my favourite book series. But alas, I so don't O.o
I read all the raving reviews, dusk before the stars appear, lovers in the moonlight, you name it - it sounded so wonderful and I liked the idea of this being truly old-fashioned, invented in 1912. So today I went to the one store having this, sprayed it on and....clove …

I hate giving a fragrance a bad rating. They're so personal that it's a matter of opinion more than something actually being wrong with the product; that said, I got this because someone said if I like Oscar I should like this, and I find them in no way similar. I don't like this scent at all. I also did not care for Shalimar; perhaps Guerlain fragrances just aren't for me!

This is dreamy, very definitely Paris at dusk. I try to think of something more original to compare it to, but there is nothing else. The first time I put it on I said "I feel like I'm living in the most beautiful dream". I have heard the vintage formula is better which I can believe as this one is very powdery & has room to be more complex, but I love it anyway. It's the …Read more

I appreciate this from a historical point of view but it doesn't seem very suitable either for work or romance. Perhaps for relaxation. It is certainly an interesting scent but just doesn't thrill me the way gourmands do.
