Can someone please tell me why reviews on Makeup Alley always seem to be much lower than on other sites; ie Sephora, Ulta etc. for specific products? On other sites, I will see almost all 5 stars, yet on MA site, they are always considerably lower -how does that happen? surely everyone on the others sites aren't all for their reviews!

I have been consistently using this product for two years now. The foundation is pretty flawless, gives a matte finish and it lasts all day. It is pretty lightweight on my face and doesn't cause any irritability that other foundations usually cause on my skin.I have combination skin and the playstick is really great - it doesn't promote breakouts or anything. It used to be in limited edition, and I'd search and hop to different Benefit counters over London just so that I could get hold of this!

This is my HG foundation. It gives a flawless finish that lasts for hours, but looks completely natural and dewy, like gorgeous skin. I use it different ways depending on the occasion: I can warm it on my palms and rub it all over for a sheer natural, daytime look and for evening I paint a like across my forehead, on either side of my nose, under my eyes, and across my chin and then use a brush to spread evenly. It feels delicious on the skin. I love it so much I used it as my daily foundation for a while, but I went through the tube too quickly. Now I use Armani liquid every day and this is for parties and special occasions. I have yet to find a shade as perfect as Tea Party in any product, liquid, powder, whatever... it's a gorgeous neutral shade. This photographs beautifully as well. Prepare to answer lots of questions because people will comment on your skin and ask how you keep it looking so good!

This cream stick foundation is amazing for those with a normal skin type. I especially enjoy mixing it with a primer like That Gal by Benefit and applying both products mixed together all over the skin. The look it creates is pure perfection. I have used this method on photo shoots for a full coverage.xxxx

If you like medium-full coverage, then this foundation is a great one.
- Buildable coverage. I can sheer this out so that is is very natural looking, or build it up where I need it to completely cover any redness and blemishes.
- Great staying power. This foundation surprised me, I did not expect it to last on my oily t zone at all.
- The packaging is convenient to carry around for touch ups or travelling, especially compared to my other foundations which come in a glass bottle.
- Thick consistency makes it difficult to blend in a rush.
- Dreadful shade range. The lightest shade is too dark for most fair skin tones, I can only use this when I have a tan.
- This can cling to dry patches. But I found that a little extra blending or even using my fingers helped considerably here.

I LOVE this foundation!! I needed something that wouldn't break me out and would cover acne scars. This foundation does the job!! However, it tends to be very oily so a setting powder is necessary!

I really liked this. I'm a big fan of these stick style foundations and there aren't many out there. Goes on powdery and it's easy to apply foundation only in specific areas. Blends out easily. Kind of expensive for the seemingly small amount.
