Starts as a nice candy, kidlike floral with honey. There's a lot like honeysuckle, with green notes. Then it dries rapidly to acrid plastic child's perfume that is at the same time too sharp and cloyingly sweet. Had to scrub.

Mal is bad right? Cause this was true to it's name right away...BAD!

The final dry down was way nicer though, but all I can really smell is the rose. I'm not a huge rose fan, and most scents with rose really turn me off. I'm not a huge fan of this one, but it's not as overwhelming as some other rose scents. This will definitely go up for swaps.

This is another of my fave rose blends from the Lab. It's a lot softer than Persephone, which I really like. I do smell the lilac as it dries down. It's a bit soapy for me but I actually quite like it.

This smelled like dying roses…like when you get a bouquet that is past it's peak, and yet it was so beautiful you just aren't ready to part with it. Interesting, but not something I'd like to smell like.

Too flowery and soapy for my liking.

Smells like grandma, which is a nice scent, but not my taste.

Les Fleurs du Mal indeed!
Unfortunately, this blend made me sneeze! Repeatedly. I have never had that happen to such an extent before. A pity; I really like the way it smells in the vial, and for a brief moment on my skin, it is lovely. Then, it quickly turns into the dreaded sneeze-monster, and a short time after that, as many of the other BPALs have done on me, it fades away into soapy …

This is a very pretty floral. I don't smell "darkness" at all, just big heady flowers that turn a bit soapy/powdery on me after the drydown. I don't mean soapy in a bad way; the combination is actually really nice - a very clean smell, but deep and strong rather than light and fleeting.

This is a very heavy, very deep and very dark floral. Be warned, it is strong! You only need a dab. But it is so beautiful that it's worth a try. The lilac is the strongest note on me, but underneath you can smell the wisteria and rose floating along, and it's just gorgeous. This is a very feminine, almost Victorian, floral scent.

The only reason i included this with my imp's ears order selection was because the notes included wisteria and i loooove wisteria. Unfortunately, the "rosey base" stuck out way too much on my skin and made me slightly nauseous the way all tea rose oils do, and it's really too bad because the wisteria and lilac notes were phenomenal. I'll wear this until the sample runs …Read more
