I think I didn't believe all the "casper" reviews of this stuff -- I mean, how white could it really be? I've use Dr. Hauschka Sunscreen for Children . . . Zomg. White. *WHITE*. This is sort of appalling to apply, it leaves me so white. So I massage it in for ages and eventually get to the "sallow glow" stage. And if I've the patience to sit around for another …Read more

This is definitely WHITE, but it does fade to a less opaque white after a few minutes. If you are against having a white cast, this is not for you. I personally love it because it's a clean, fresh sunblock that does not irritate my skin and never burns my eyes/skin around my eyes. Also, it's not at all greasy! It has a fresh, clean glow when applied. Even though it comes out of the …Read more

EDIT: Just to iterate this is VERY white and although some of the whiteness disappears after a while I can't use it everyday during the summer. I think it's easier to go with the geisha look in the winter :-). I want to stick with mineral filters so next I'll try Lavera's sunscreens.
I am using the 100% mineral version. My skin does not like chemical filters as I recently …

I have been testing dozens (literally) of sunscreens over the past month or so, having finally started learning about photostability, the differences between chemical and physical sun filters, etc. Not only have I been trying different things for my face, I've also become more aware of the sunscreen products I use on my three young daughters; for them, I've eliminated ss with …Read more

This product may well have provided good sun protection, but it left such a white mask on my face that even my husband noticed, which is saying something - usually he's pretty oblivious. I tried putting some powder over it, which let me at least leave the house, but way too much work for every day. Going back to the store.

I applied it on my baby in summer. It is an effective sunscreen, but has several drawbacks. It is supposed to be micronised, also it is tinted, but does leave a white cast. The milk needs some effort to apply, so it makes impossible not to use a lot (which you should anyway). We washed it off with micellar solution (SVR Dermo Pediatrics Provegol Eau Bebe, Mustela also makes one) which was …Read more

I bought this for my two ultralight sons after the one came back from all day at a water park (where the camp counselors swore they applied sunscreen every hour) looking like a purple lobster. They are very fair, and it looks a little white when first applied but then evens out. It's thick, resistant, and I don't feel as bad sending them out for the day without me. So far no repeat …Read more

I appreciate the high PPD protection (PPD about 9) and high UVB protection made with only mineral blockers...and for a pretty decent price. I've become uncomfortable w/ chemical blockers (esp. benzophenone) and feel better not using them. Compared to very spreadable and almost transparent DDF Organic Sunblock, which I've used a bottle of (although will no longer use due to some of its …Read more
