Can't get enough of this! Wearing it makes me want to curse with joy -- it's a naughty, happy scent. As others have said, just a little will do. Even a dab will give good trail and it'll last all day.

This scent makes me think of the South, and summer, and vintage dresses. It is NOT a scent to spritz liberally like a Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret spray. I use a teeny amount of the roll-on and it's perfect; stays close to the skin and lasts forever. I especially love this later on in the drydown or on clothing; it is a beautiful, delicate creamy green floral. It's easy …Read more

Kept smelling this at Sephora until I couldn't stand not owning a bottle so I had my hubby smell it on me and he fell in love too. What a lovely "surprise" on Xmas when I opened this black beauty! Love the tuberose which may not agree with everyone. To be able to wear it at work, I spray it on my decolete that is covered by my shirt so I smell it but not necessarily by everyone …Read more

I was expecting a lot more of this vintage perfume. Unlike Chanel #5, also a vintage scent, Fracas comes off as cheap, cloying, and plastic-y. It lasts a pretty long time, and the 1 oz. perfume spray I bought was $45, so it's not that expensive either if you just want to experiment. I know it's been around for a long time (the 1940s), but it doesn't smell 'rich old lady,' …Read more

Love the bottle and packaging-- very iconic. My grandmother proudly displayed her Fracas on her dresser, next to the Jungle Gardenia by Tuvache (another heavy-hitter floral). As a child, I remember sniffing the Fracas and thinking it was the most godawful sickening fetid thing I'd ever encountered, but I did allow that maybe it belonged to the realm of "stuff only adults like," …Read more

Fracas is art. It's a perfume that you wear for special events. Sometimes it reminds you of someone who wore it, or a place you have been. If you want to test it, but not buy a bottle, the roller ball perfume is at Sephora. It's a good size and fits in any purse. I have a small bottle, so I don't know how the two differ. I bought this on impulse, and at first I was not interested. …Read more

I know this has been reviewed to death, but I just have to put in my two-sense, because my two-sense is different when it comes to this fragrance. Reviewers say that this is a strong, sometimes overpowering fragrance. However, I've tried it in both the EDP and the parfum, and neither me or my boyfriend can smell it on me after fifteen minutes.

I like the scent itself …

I thought I'd try this since I found it on Ebay for half price- $45. I must admit that I don't particularly like it and neither does my DH. I'll probably pass it on to a co-worker since I did receive a few compliments from her the handful of times that I wore it. This might be nice on a slightly more mature woman who gravitates toward sharp floral. On me, it didn't smell …Read more

Eh. Why do I feel so blah about this? It's a very pretty, feminine white floral, very classic and pure. It's nice, but I just can't get that excited about it somehow. I prefer Monyette Paris for a white floral with more personality.

Extreme caution must be used when attempting to wear Fracas. Overdo it and Fracas will wear you. It will flatten all in its path with its mega-tuberose bouquet. On the other hand, a few strategic dabs will transport you to a tropical paradise. Definitely not a fragrance for the office, but it would suit a special night out.
