This review is for Bioderma Photoderm Laser 50+. I have seen it listed as UVA 35 and 38, though my bottles have always said 38. I live in the states and have re-purchased this several times, always from Amazon, from the seller PHARMAMUNDI; I have never had a problem - they have always arrived quickly with an expiration date far in the future. I am, of course, not affiliated with them. …Read more

My sensitive skin dries out from physical sunscreens, so I need gentle, moisturizing chemical sunscreens with high SPF. I switched to this when I couldn't find the Bioderma Photoderm Max I used for a while. I'm satisfied enough to have already bought another tube. I always use heavy moisturizer, so this product goes on smoothly. The whitish cast fades by the time I take out my …Read more

I have finally found my HG Sunscreen! *PHEW* I've tried SO many over the years.

I do believe this has been reformulated over the years as older reviewers from 03/04 seem to say it leaved a white cast on their face. I did not have this problem at all, in fact it leaves my face so smooth a bit like putting a moisturiser on. And at SPF50 I have never gotten burnt from this stuff …

Edited 06/2013: Alcohol Denat has been removed from the ingredients (also from the AR sunscreen I believe). I have worn this new formulation a few times and it has not bothered my rosacea so I think it was the alcohol that was bothering me. As far as chemical sunscreens go, my rosacea seems to tolerate mexoryl & tinosorb but not octinoxate, which is not in this formula. Both the Laser …Read more

I LOVE THIS STUFF! just to clarify this is a review for the Laser spf 50+ UVA 35. This is my HG sunscreen, I put it under my makeup and use it every single day. I read some of the other reviews and they are from quite a while ago and I am almost 100% positive that this sunscreen has been reformulated a few times, so take that into account when making a decision. I used to use only all physical …Read more

I liked the high PPD and SPF rating, and also that it didn't have any Avobenzone (aka Parsol) which irritates my face. However, this product does give me the balling up problem in that it doesn't apply smoothly. What I did to get around this was to first apply a light layer of moisturizer (usually Olay SPF 15) as a primer. That helps the product go on much more smoothly. It …Read more

This is now called "Spot." While it gives great sun protection and a non-shiny finish, it balls up on me terribly I cannot use it. Note I did not use anything underneath this, not even toner. It also has a smooth silicone feel that I do not like. Bioderma THP Lait SPF 30 is much more cosmetically elegant, although the finish is slightly shinier than Spot.

At first I liked this allot, it offers great if not the best protection available. It is also none irritating (when my skin is calm anyway) and frag free. However the base of this needs a little work imo as after applying it can be very streaky white which can be dealt with by rubbing it in quite alot. However as it dries and throughout the day it balls up and white streaks/blotches start …Read more

This is an excellent, but expensive sunscreen. I prefer this to all of the other sunscreens that I've tried including Anthelios XL SPF 60 Lait & Anthelios XL Extreme Fluide SPF 60. This has high UVA protection and feels the best on my skin compare to other high protection creams. The finish is light, non-greasy, and doesn't have a white cast. It's amazing that a product …Read more

Not too bad for such high protection (one of the highest I've seen for both UVA (PPD 29) and UVB). It's true, it does ball up if applied over makeup and some moisturizers. Sometimes when a coat is applied unevenly, white flakes start falling off. It kind of looks like I have peeling skin. I put it over my Neostrata Total Radianc Vit C today and the Photoderm is peeling :( Not sure …Read more
