Rose Muskissime is described as a Fruity Floral, but I think it sits somewhere between a Fruity Chypre and a Floral Chypre. It is warm, sweet, opulent, and raspy. If you get your hands on the box, oakmoss and tree moss extracts are listed in the ingredients. This is why some sense dirty/earthy (and sweaty) notes along with the flowers and fruit. Rose Muskissime almost reminds me of a heavily …Read more

So glad I found this review page, because I thought I must be the only one who found this much-praised fragrance actually disgusting. I began by sniffing the rosy-fruity rich accords it's famous for, but almost at once I had to put it down and literally chuck it in the bin. Because the stink that followed the topnotes was really dreadful! "Dirty socks" is what another reviewer …Read more

One of my favourite rose fragrances. I can bath in Rose Muskissime, in particular in summer. Ultra comforting, very elegant, a play on the theme roses mixed with exotic fruit, but so unique and different from the bland rosy scents inundating the department stores. It is the musky quality I guess that gives it an edge and at the same time makes it an unmistakable part of the MPG fragrance family …Read more

I think rose muskissime is completely alluring and sexy. Not girly or too young. I don't get anything fruity or sweet about it at all. I smell the rose, musk, and something green. It reminds me of a romantic rendezvous outside in an evergreen forest with wild roses blooming about. I love putting this on at bedtime. Very well done.

Slightly too sweet girly fruity rose, and I sense no musk at all. An old English rose trying desperately to look young and plump again, sort of like rose hip tea turned floral-fruity with the "sophisticated girlie" look.

Probably well done if that's what you're looking for, but not me, I enjoy some raw skank with ambrosia splattered all over it.

As the name declares, a musky rose. Or is it a rosy musk? The latter seems more likely, given the luxurious quantity of musk in the base.

<P>

Before Rose Muskissime gets to base level, make note that MPG does wonderful things with fruit. So debased is the term "fruity floral" that it seems unfair to lump Rose Muskissime in with the usual offenders. And …

I rarely give one lippie on fragrances i test.But with Rose Muskissime i'm obliged to do so. When a scent stinks on me i blame my chemistry but not this time. I juswt hate the top notes i can definitely pick the cassis blended in the most nicest of ways with dirty sweat and a bit of dirty socks odour. After 10 min i get something airier but there's something dirty and earthy,but not in …Read more

It seems I like my rose fragrances sweet or dark rather than minimal and freshly picked. I cannot help but be moved by this fragrance despite the fact some may suggest it’s frivolous, flirty and even a little synthetic. This may be true – but for some reason it sparks a trail of associations in my mind I become riveted by, and it’s no longer frivolous but rather a teleport key that transports me …Read more

<i>From BeautyHabit.com: "A blend of Turkish and Moroccan roses associated with exotic fruits, passion fruit, papaya and mango, on a very dynamic base of musk. This elegant and delicate perfume is like a dream on a warm summer night! "</i><p>This is ok, nothing more nothing less. It's a tad perfumey and headache inducing for me after a soft musky fruity start …Read more

Rose Muskissime is a bright, cheerful, young and light fragrance. It's not very deep, doesn't have any dark character. It's very uplifting, not energising, just uplifting. It's sweet, not like a taste, but more in it's character. Nice and sweet. It reminds me of Musc de Java by Les Nereides - the same light unpretentious uplifting scent. Nice.
