I love a violet scent. For example, I love the smell of Guerlain products, and I wear Insolence Eau de Parfum (not the toilette) which is marvelous. I found this sitting on a shelf at my local Winners for $10 (reduced from $16 which was reduced from the original price of $28) and was intrigued. The bottle is a little cheap, thick glass bottle, but the spray attachement is one of those old …Read more

Violettes de Toulouse is a lovely sweet violet fragrance, quite similar to Devon Violets but with significantly less lasting power. It's definitely sweeter and less green than Violetta di Parma. Overall, a nice and inexpensive violet soliflore if you don't mind reapplying.

One of the yummiest violet scents. I do detect a salty note which balances perfectly with the sweetness of the violet. My only complaint is that it doesn't last long. I have yet to find a violet scent that does though.

This violet perfume is delicious, it is not too green, nor cloying.
In my quest for a violet that smells like those violet candies growing up, I have to say it is very similar. I detect a vanilla/woody drydown that
is very appealing and soft. So far it has been 3 hours and I can still
smell it's lovely scent.

The violet portion of the fragrance leaves the building well before the concert is over. Upon dry down it takes a backseat to a sort of new car smell. I guess this is the woodsy/popcorn/what-have-you that has been mentioned thus far. Not bad for the price, but I wouldn’t have placed this as a violet scent if it weren’t in the name. Also, staying power in general is next to nothing.

I love this scent so much. It's so fresh and sweet, yet not to sweet. I get none of that odd popcorn like scent the other reviewer described. It makes me happy just to smell it's wonderful scent. This scent should be re-classified under the heading Berdoues Violette de Toulous, since it is not made by or only available at Caswell-Massey.
I don't smell much of a similarity …

Indeed similar to Borsai's Violetta di Parma, reminiscent of the same, sugary violet pastilles, but this is a bit more dusty/powdery (eeriely like the sugar coating of the candy in fact), possibly from the additon of a sandalwood note. Two lipsticks because sadly the actual violet portion of this scent lasts no more than twenty minutes, leaving in its wake a faint, slightly puzzling aroma …Read more

Well, this was a bit disappointing. It's not as sweet and fresh as the violets in Violetta di Parma, which is what I was expecting based on description and reviews. The violet note seems subdued in this fragrance, a bit dull and wilting. The fragrance gets considerably better with drydown. Also, lasting power is poor. Not the worst violet scent, but considering how cheap Violetta di Parma …Read more

I can hardly express how perfect this violet scent is. Velvety, fresh, clean, sweet (not like candy but lightly nectar-sweet). Exquisite. The lasting power is, as Flippit wrote, about an hour. But this is so wonderful I can't bear to rate it any lower than I have. I hope the EdP lasts longer!

I believe this is the same thing as Berdoues Violettes de Toulouse. This is a very fresh violet scent. You can practically smell the stems as well as the petals. There's a woody touch in the beginning that quickly fades. My only complaint is that it fades very very quickly on me. I get maybe an hour out of it before I have to reapply.
