So I just hit pan on my Paula's Choice Healthy Finish Pressed Powder Makeup in Neutral and decided to try this powder because it's only $10.99 and I had a 20% off coupon from Ulta. I matched myself with Luarel Nude which closely matched my Paula's Choice shade. The next best was Cypress Beige but that was too beige. Too --- I don't know. The colors in this line are weird. All the colors in the pan looked the same. I had to test all of them to get my color just right. Good thing Ulta has such great service. The problem is, the powder has glitter in it. It didn't make any sense to me because it's supposed to be matte. I guess they changed their formula recently. It used to be ( and as of today, it's still on their website as the old formula -- Rated a BEST by Beautypedia) :Talc, Mica, Lauroyl Lysine, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Nylon-12, Magnesium Stearate, Boron Nitride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Squalane, Zinc Oxide, Dimethicone, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, ............ I won't bore you with the rest. Here is the new formula : Mica, Talc, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch,Kaolin,Nylon-12, Boron Nitride, Zinc Oxide, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Squalane...........SO, NOW, instead of a matte finish, you get this weird, glittery finish that is not AT ALL long lasting and slips off oily skin. It's awful. This company -- instead of focussing their efforts on customer complaints from Makeupalley, etc. like their bulky packaging and awkward colors that are too pink or too light, or no colors for darker skin tones, decided to change the only good thing they had going for them. Anyway, I ended up returning the makeup. It didn't go on evenly and wasn't long lasting and you could see the sparkles on my face. Horrible.

Oh My God I love this product. I have acne prone combo skin, oily when it's hot and dry when it's cold. I use this with Cerave PM moisturizer (Put a small amount on a small area of powder and use a foundation brush, not the pad mainly just because it's dirty). I've tried tens of foundations in search of the one that won't make me break out and this is the one. I don't wear foundation everyday, usually just when breaking out badly or when I go out at night. THis doesn't make me break out at all (but maybe if i used it daily it might), it keeps me shine free AND moisturized (use with lotion.. not water if you're dry) and my skin looks beautiful! Matte, not really glowing. Coverage is medium, and alterable. It can go on heavy or light depending on your preference. At first it doesn't look great, but after it sets for ten or fifteen minutes it looks AMAZING for me. HG product!

This is the kind of foundation I have been looking for! Lite on the skin, coverage looks smooth & natural & can be applied with the damp or dry sponge. A powder & foundation in one step! You can also use this over your favorite foundation for added oil control. Packaged like a pressed powder with a sponge in the bottom compartment. This makes your skin appear smooth, pore less & even toned. Bought it at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Holy beeepp. This is fantastic!!What I wanted: Something that works on normal skin with dry areas, can hold up in sweat. NO SPF for photo times and long lasting (ain't nobody got time foh dat reapplication)Photos : NO white face!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!! Beautiful Coverage: light ( applied dry), medium-full(applied with a wet sponge)Dry skin: does not accentuate, covers and smoothsDurability: resilient, beautiful natural matte/ luminous finish after xxxx loads of sweat Finish: Natural, matte Irritants: No problem for my hypersensitive skinColour : cypress beige ( perfect match)Chanel : B30, Lancome miracle - beige daphneMac : NC30, face and body C3Estee Lauder Double Wear: Sand/ TawnyBourjois: 10hr sleep -53Dior Fusion - 31I put this away last year because i caked on a crap load and it became blotchy and dry on my extra extra dry inflammed skin in combo with a thick gunky moisterisor. Nothing was going to look good on that anyway..I gave it another go this year, looking for a HG powder foundation once again and unfortunately this came out on top for price and quality so round two !My skin is still dry but just around the lips and nose ( from sniffles in dry winter aus) but because of my job in running around and I get shiny oily pretty fast.Initially: didn't cling to dry skin (this is a big deal for me almost NO powder does this) matte pearly finish, beautiful!!!8 hours later, after work and gym:I am SHOCKED at how good it looks and the bare fact its still on!!! It looks more luminous than it did that the start bit still a matte finish, I look healthy natural and glowy! Secondly, there was NO creepy dry cracks around my nose and mouth making me look like a 80yo prostitute.Hands down, best powder foundation for my dry- normal skin even in exteme sweat/heat!!!! Please do yourself and your wallet a favour by getting this!!!!COMPARED TO MAC face body - This left me looking like I poured olive oil all over my face after two hours. Unbelievable given the great reviews and the fact that I'm dry- normal skinned. EL double wear- equally great staying powder but I could never look natural with this and it looked Ghastly white in photography.Revlon CS - Swatched palladio and CS on my face and with flash the Revlon side showed up about 4 shades lighter. The palladio side was smooth and stayed true to color ! Whoop! Boujois 10hr - greattttt for my dry skin , always natural and beautiful but goddang it will not last more than 5 hrs. It at least fades nicely and doesn't leave an oily sheen, u just know because your blemishes start showing up again. Maybe palladio is like the powder, longer lasting version of this for meChanel teint innocence cream - beautiful but I wore it in the sun one day and my skin had a huge reaction / blistered for days. So. Never again. Also baddddd white face in flash photography even standing far away from camera. Palladio feels comfortable on with no reactionMAC mineral skinfinish - I don't get what is wrong with this, it settles in fine lines, makes me oily AND makes my skin look bumpy, palladio instead makes my skin look baby smooth

About me: NW13 (neutral-cool toned, very fair), blue eyes, Color season is True Summer, Baumann Skin Type is OSPW.Can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. Lovely smooth powder. Great value. Unfortunately, the lightest shade suits NW20 (Laurel Nude). Its a lovely neutral cool tone. Great coverage. Lasts well. Satin-matte finish.UPDATE: Still amazed by this foundation. Looks SO NATURAL. medium to high coverage. I love using this under my eyes to conceal, because it is pigmented enough to conceal and the powder means the corrector underneath will not crease. I've used as a finishing powder to add coverage and matte, and I've also used as foundation alone. No complaints. Even the shade Laurel Nude looks natural on, even though it's slightly dark. It's a very soft neutral undertone.UPDATE 12/15: They changed the shades on this, and now Laurel Nude is like NW25 dark. :/ I can't buy it again...

I love this compact powder sooo very much!!! It definitely controls my oily skin and makes it look flawless! I also love the fact that you can buy refills for when you run out.(I'm gonna have to, because I've hit pan) This is my HG powder!**Update*** Used this wet for the first time today, and boy oh boy does this stuff cover up imperfections! My skin stayed flawless and oil free for most of the day (I have suuper oily skin) I won't be going back to my other foundations!!!

If you have uneven skin tone, scars or just want a nice cover, this is it. It even covers my red cheeks from rosacea. I first tried it wet with sponge, but kept rolling off my monistat primer in pieces. weird! But I got out my kabuki foundation brush and applied it dry. Wow! wonderful coverage, not too oily or dry. I top with loreal soft glow mineral finish, and I am good for hours. even in the humid south.I was really surprised, and at ulta, they have deals on this stuff all the time. I don't think you will be sorry. I actually bought two more and this is the first time I have used an entire foundation up in A LONG TIME!

I love this foundation powder. I use it dry over my sunscreen and it covers all the redness and most of my acne scars. I then mist a little water on the sponge and apply wet over the problem areas that need more coverage. This lasts all day, even after a workout, and actually looks better after a couple hours- kind of dewy and fresh. It didn't make me break out at all. Will definitely buy it again and again.

Great! ive been using it for a few months and i have very sensitive skin, it works wonders, no breakouts or redness, im a big fan of the rice powder too! its soothing, not to expensive and healthy for the skin full of natural ingredients. I havent tried it wet, but dry it has a good enough coverage. Have a lovely day and happy makeup exploring!.
