I agree with jackieskies. I'm in the UK and bought laurel nude from Amazon and loved it. My second purchase a few weeks ago and it's turned horribly pink on my face and sponge. It was so bad that I thought that my previously excellent American retailer had slipped me a fake.

Thanks to Jackie I now know that's not the case, but I can't wear it any more as it looks like I'm trying add a fake tan!

Bitterly disappointed. This quickly became my HG foundation and I feel that it's been snatched away from me. :(

Better than MAC studiofix and every other sun par foundation Ive wasted my money on over the years. After using this everything else sucks in comparison. It matches my pale yellow undertoned nc20 skin flawlessly. Its lightweight and has great coverage. An added bonus is my skim has cleared up immensely since using this. The price is perfect about $11 at Sallys.Just great stuff all around.

Love this for so many reasons:

-can fly with this & it's not a "liquid" that has to be drug out in Security
- this can be applied on my "lazy-I-don't-want-to put-on-makeup-today" days with a quck swipe of the Kabuki brush all over my face in like 30 seconds
- looks great & has great coverage applied wet with the sponge on pro-business days
- coverage lasts all day, with little touch ups
- just as good (or better coverage!) than Mac's Studio fix
- it's like 10 bucks at your local Sallys - keep one everywhere for that price! (purse, suitcase, makeup drawer)

So let me start off with saying I have sensitive dry combo skin with a crazy oily t zone. Now with that out of the way I LOVE LOVE this foundation! It doesn't stick to the dry patches on my cheeks. It gives a matte but not flat finish. It gives your face a healthy glow (not dewy). If you use it dry it gives a light natural looking coverage. I really like using it on top of a BB cream then you get a medium coverage with a beautiful finish. I get so many compliments when I wear it like that with a little bronzer and blush. I haven't tried it wet and I don't really plan to. I like the finish when I wear it dry. I don't use the applicator it comes with I apply it with a kabuki brush. I can wear this all day at work and then go to the gym and when I clean my face with a cleansing cloth there is still product on there. I do have oil break through on my t zone about 6 hours after applying but there are no long lasting claims on this product. It also doesn't break my face out. I will definitely be buying this again and again in the future.

Holy beeepp. This is fantastic!!

What I wanted: Something that works on normal skin with dry areas, can hold up in sweat. NO SPF for photo times and long lasting (ain't nobody got time foh dat reapplication)

Photos : NO white face!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!! Beautiful
Coverage: light ( applied dry), medium-full(applied with a wet sponge)
Dry skin: does not accentuate, covers and smooths
Durability: resilient, beautiful natural matte/ luminous finish after xxxx loads of sweat
Finish: Natural, matte
Irritants: No problem for my hypersensitive skin

Colour : cypress beige ( perfect match)
Chanel : B30, Lancome miracle - beige daphne
Mac : NC30, face and body C3
Estee Lauder Double Wear: Sand/ Tawny
Bourjois: 10hr sleep -53
Dior Fusion - 31

I put this away last year because i caked on a crap load and it became blotchy and dry on my extra extra dry inflammed skin in combo with a thick gunky moisterisor. Nothing was going to look good on that anyway..

I gave it another go this year, looking for a HG powder foundation once again and unfortunately this came out on top for price and quality so round two !

My skin is still dry but just around the lips and nose ( from sniffles in dry winter aus) but because of my job in running around and I get shiny oily pretty fast.

Initially: didn't cling to dry skin (this is a big deal for me almost NO powder does this) matte pearly finish, beautiful!!!

8 hours later, after work and gym:
I am SHOCKED at how good it looks and the bare fact its still on!!! It looks more luminous than it did that the start bit still a matte finish, I look healthy natural and glowy! Secondly, there was NO creepy dry cracks around my nose and mouth making me look like a 80yo prostitute.

Hands down, best powder foundation for my dry- normal skin even in exteme sweat/heat!!!! Please do yourself and your wallet a favour by getting this!!!!

COMPARED TO
MAC face body - This left me looking like I poured olive oil all over my face after two hours. Unbelievable given the great reviews and the fact that I'm dry- normal skinned.

EL double wear- equally great staying powder but I could never look natural with this and it looked Ghastly white in photography.

Revlon CS - Swatched palladio and CS on my face and with flash the Revlon side showed up about 4 shades lighter. The palladio side was smooth and stayed true to color ! Whoop!

Boujois 10hr - greattttt for my dry skin , always natural and beautiful but goddang it will not last more than 5 hrs. It at least fades nicely and doesn't leave an oily sheen, u just know because your blemishes start showing up again. Maybe palladio is like the powder, longer lasting version of this for me

Chanel teint innocence cream - beautiful but I wore it in the sun one day and my skin had a huge reaction / blistered for days. So. Never again. Also baddddd white face in flash photography even standing far away from camera. Palladio feels comfortable on with no reaction

MAC mineral skinfinish - I don't get what is wrong with this, it settles in fine lines, makes me oily AND makes my skin look bumpy, palladio instead makes my skin look baby smooth

First off, this powder foundation can be worn alone or as a finishing powder. If used as a finishing powder, you'll get some extra coverage, too! So onto my experience: I've been using the shade Neroli Bronze for my medium/tannish skin. It gives a matte finish that looks natural. The coverage if light. If you have very slight discoloration, it will even it out nicely, however it will not work for people with acne or acne marks, because of the sheer coverage.
You'll have to use a concealer under it for coverage and you can set it with this powder and it'll look absolutely gorgeous! But if you like more fuller coverage foundations, this is not the one for you. It is for people with fairly good skin.
For me, I use concealer for my dark circles and spot marks and then I put this on top and my skin looks gorgeous and even.
You can use it wet if you want more coverage, but I don't like the idea of putting a damp sponge into the powder and then dipping it back in if I need more. Not too sanitary.
It doesn't last very long though, and my skin tends to feel a little bit greasy after a while, even though I do NOT have oily skin. I'd give it 6 hours till it starts looking bad. I took off a lippie for those two cons.
But, overall, it's a good powder foundation and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a cheap powder that they don't need to wear all day long :) OH, AND DON'T FORGET TO PRIME! ^_^

Pros:
-makes skin look even
-wakes up the skin
-the coverage is good for a powder

Cons:
-doesn't last long
-skin gets greasy after a few hours of wear.

Ladies DON'T BE FOOLED into thinking this is a DS item sold at Sally's/ulta for $10 because its really costing you $36---> WTH?!?! Its because this compact is ONLY = 0.28oz vs the average DS/HE foundation/powder that is almost ALWAYS =1.00 oz so to get the same amount ur essentially shelling out wayy more $$$.

For starters, I have normal to dry skin. I look to cover redness mainly, a zit or two & even out my complexion overall with foundations. I do not have acne/scars & still using this dry, gave me such sheer coverage as if I wore translucent powder only. Used wet, yes this covered everything & I was flawless for hrss!!!! Here comes the bad: CAKEY, even withoutt layering. I think the WET part of this foundation is meant for the sponge application to get ANY coverage, the DRY is what your left with--dry, cakey, powdery matte finish. So UN-natural & emphasized ALL my pores. Ofcourse all this was with me staring in the mirror; I checked indoors/outdoors, yellow/white lights, natural/car lights & yup same effects. A couple of feet away & dim lights could work but come on self satisfaction is important too! Why wear mu in the first place, if it isn't.

IF your still interested, for reference I'm NW20, Revlon CS-buff, Sally Hansen by Carmindy-Ecru Beige, L'oreal True Match W2, Maybelline Smooth Mousse-Creamy Natural, Maybelline Matte Mousse-Classic Ivory & matched Palladio-LAUREL NUDE which has pink undertones & is probably best for normal-oily skin IMO.

Love it! One of the best foundations I've ever used, and one of the cheapest. One reason I love this because it is EASY. I usually just put it over my moisturizer/primer and then set with fix+. Done. Takes under 2 minutes. Takes SO much less time than liquid foundation and actually looks more natural. I don't usually wear powder foundations because I have dry skin and I feel they often make my skin more dry. This, however, is not drying at all, (even when applied dry).

This product is NOT full coverage, so if that is something you want/need, look elsewhere. I personally like that this is light/medium coverage, as this is what I feel I need/look the best in. It evens out skin tone. If you have spots to cover you will still need a concealer. Just apply it with your brush of choice (or the little sponge it comes with, it is actually decent). I use a Sonia Kashuk blending sponge, this works well.

I noticed several reviewers say that it oxidized/turned orange on them. This is not an issue I have experienced with this product, I think it may just have that reaction on certain people's skin?

Give it a shot! Oh and for reference I got Cypress Beige and I am NC30 (This seemed to be the reviewer consensus for match) but I feel it is just SLIGHTLY too light on me, I usually have to darken with bronzer after applying this. I'm hoping the next shade up isn't too dark, I am definitely going to buy it. Great product.

I LOVE THIS! It doesnt look cakey at all and actually looks quite natural on me. It evens out my skin tone, i have some red spots and the coverage is good(i dont have bad skin, but for my random breakouts once in a while it works) Its creamy and keeps my skin looking flawless. I have dry skin & it doesnt make it flake like some powders ive used before. Its inexpensive only 9.99! i got mine at Ulta & i am so happy i found this product! Im already on my second one :)
