I'm not really sure what color my sample of chantecaille lip gloss is. It's a red-plum shade in the bottle, but it goes perfectly with my natural lip shade. It is the closet match to my lip color I've found in lip glosses. I'm interested in buying.

Although Kir is a Chantecaille lip gloss, I was no too thrilled with the color, but I still love the quality and feel of it. I was expecting it to be more of a sheer plum color, but it is deeper and IMO is not that sheer. Of course I will use it but I will not purchase this color again. I have too many lip colors in this color. I will be sticking with my Cassis for the deeper berry color.

*Breaks into yet another chorus about how Chantecaille is the unsung hero of makeup lines* Kir is a lovely sheer medium-plum gloss (although it isn't very glossy) and can be built up for more coverage. IMHO, Sheer plums are a must-have for every PPP with hazel and/or green eyes because it beautifully sets off the color without need for much other makeup. However, this shade is nearly a dead ringer for my Chantecaille Lip Sheer in Saturn. The only real difference is that Kir has SPF-15 and does not have the rose scent of Chant. lippies (which mercifully fades quickly). Chantecaille glosses cannot be beat for their ability to moisturize. When my lips are chapped, a thin coat of Chant. gloss does more for them than any balm I've ever tried. In short, it's worth getting if you don't have a similar color or if you can find it cheaper than $26 USD, because unlike many other Chantecaille glosses, Kir isn't unique enough to justify paying full price.

I bought Kir, a cool mauve wine shade, even though my usual lip colors range from neutral to warm. This is such a gorgeous color! The texture is creamy but not sticky. Nice medium-high gloss, but not water-wet shine like a MAC Lipglass. For once I don't mind the pot, because I actually prefer to apply this with a retractable brush... I get better control that way, from slight hint of color to full-on glossy glamour. And the mirror is a nice touch. If I buy more of these (big if considering how $$$ they are) I want to try Molasses and Nougat.

I bought this back when it first came out, and I can't really say enough about the quality of this gloss! It has a very light feeling on the lips (not at all gloopy like many glosses), the pigmentation is simply AMAZING and it stays on for a good while. Even when the gloss rubs off and is no longer shiny, it leaves a significant color deposit on your lips so you don't have that naked, "my lipstick sucked my lips gray" color that sometimes gets left behind. I took off a lippie because the color goes on rather different than it appears in the pot, definitely not as pretty.
