The Lotion is the toner in the Synactif line. It helps to hydrate, make the skin glow and prepare it for the next step- moisturizing. The texture is like water, I don't detect a scent and though it doesn't have a slimy texture like many hydrating toners, it DOES hydrate and make my very dry skin feel GOOD.
