I got myself Slip & Lilly which are both beautiful shades in the advertisements. However they didn't turn out as I hoped.
I'm not sure how the rest of the shades are in the range but these 2 are absolutely terrible and not worth the price.
Here's my pro/cons list of my experience:

**PROS:
- Aesthetically pleasing packaging
- Colour is the same as …

As you probably know if you are reading this, Glossier products are for a 'no-makeup makeup' look, so expecting bold pigment and saturated color will only lead to disappointment. I'm over 40, but lately I've been heading towards a minimalist makeup approach and application, so even though I am not Glossier's target demographic, the line appeals to me. In my third order …Read more

I was hesitant to buy this but I really liked the idea of the product and some of the colors so I decided to try it out. I ended up buying the color cub. It took a little work getting the right application, but I really like the overall look of the product. It isn’t meant to be highly pigmented, just a sheer wash of color. When I first tried it, I used too much product and it creased a bit …Read more

When I first opened the tube, I was struck how cheap the packaging feels. I’ve never felt the plastic container for make up needed to be thicker or of a higher quality until I used Lidstar, but I’m afraid I’ll break the tube (e.g., crack it by tightening it when I close it, disconnect the wand from the lid, crack the tube by dropping it, etc.) every time I use it. That being said, the actual …Read more

I bought cub and fawn because I heard that these had the best consistency compared to the other lid. Fawn looked grayer than I would have liked because I was expecting a taupe, and it was patchy. Cub also looked really pretty, but I had issues blending it out because it would also get patchy and layering these just made them crusty looking. I never get patchiness with eyeshadows, and these were …Read more

love, love, love my lidstar. i only have one shade, cub (the warm rose-gold shade), but i plan to take advantage of the "pick two and save" deal on the website when i need to repurchase and grab a new shade to play with.

i turn to this product as my go-to for almost any situation - in a hurry, going out, going to work, you name it. i put one swipe of product straight onto …

I ordered Fawn and Herb, and have been wearing one or the other pretty much regularly for the past months or so. Of the two, Fawn is easier to work with. Herb is a beautiful green/gold/brown that is amazing with my hazel eyes, but does take some work to blend. Fawn is something I can put on in a huge rush and not have to worry too much about - like flattering lipbalm but for your lids. They both …Read more

Glossier can be a hit or miss, so I really did not know what to expect from their newest cream shadows at first. I bought two shades based on online recommendations (Fawn, Cub) and frankly these are the only two colours I am willing to wear on a daily basis now.

Why? They're easy. Don't get me wrong, I love a full on glam situation, however, these shadows are perfect for an …

So as a disclaimer, I kind of got these for free. I had bought a new Skin Tint and then Glossier changed their formula and issued me a credit. I can't use the new formula because of the new ingredients so I got 2 Lidstars instead. I got Fawn, the taupe-y purple and Herb the greenish gold. Out of the two, Fawn performs better. its smoother, easier to blend and looks more even. Herb is a …Read more

I so wanted to love this but I don't. The shade cub on the models (marketing) make the color look rose gold and wet looking, which is what I was going for. When I put it on and blended it, it disappeared! I put another layer and it did look better but uneven. Once dry, it looked DRY and showed the lines on my lids! It also felt very dry! I tried using a primer (Urban Decay) and it did …Read more
