soooo, Chloe EDP and EDT are so great on my skin that applying either of them literally makes my mouth water. Naturally, I was excited to buy Nomade as soon as it was released. I ordered the biggest bottle online and was not too happy with the result. It is not necessarily BAD, but I cannot really say anything redeeming about it either. It is flat and boring floral. No soapiness like most of her frags, and all I can really smell is spicy pepper. I wore this once, and now it sits. After having been so spoiled with the Chloes before this, I just don't understand where this one came from? It feels nothing like the other, better Chloe frags. Cannot even feel the Chloe DNA in this. I do not understand when a house strikes gold with a frag as they did with the Chloe New, Chloe EDP and EDP (not old orange version), why would they stray SO far away with their new scent? I wish they had just made a flanker instead. Lastly, it does not last on my skin at all. Literally no one could smell it after 45 minutes. Not for me.

I was given a decent sized decant from a friend and have worn this five times now. I am a chypre lover. This is very clean, polite and office friendly. It's a modern chypre without any of the bite of the older ones. Very disappointing, but at the same I understand why it is so clean and polite. On my skin it starts off with bright citrus. This is followed by a slightly mossy, dry woody patchouli overlaid with tart mirabelle plum and a little bit of white flowers. Lasting power on my skin is 4-5 hours and over 12 hours on clothing. It feels quite sheer. Chypres have taken a hit since the amount of oakmoss that could be used in the finished product was drastically reduced. This has led to perfumers desperately scrabbling for alternate ingredients to use to update older chypres and formulate newer ones. Chloe Nomade has made a modern chypre that will appeal to modern sensibilities, and not overpower people surrounding the wearer. This is what I meant by clean, polite, and office friendly. There is nothing particularly wrong with it. The tart mirabelle plum makes it different enough from other fragrances to be interesting, and it smells upmarket and expensive. It is simply disappointing to me because I love old school chypres. For someone who is looking for a daytime signature scent that smells expensive and unique, it may well be a good choice. The friend who gave me the decant wears it as her everyday work scent. She is a solicitor who cannot afford to smell like a walking dessert tray, nor can she afford to wear something that draws too much attention to her. This gives her an air of polished sophistication. It works for her, but not for me. Luckily, Mitsouko does.

If you belong to 80s and used to adore Chloe by Lagerfeld, Nomade is the twin sister of it!!! Smells almost the same. After too many years I found again a peachy, floral scent! First impression nothing special. In 10 minutes earthy, after 30 min peach, vanilla and white summer flowers on my skin.I am a light tan one and only Angel stay in place on me. Just try it and leave it for a couple of hours to see. On me its a new version of Chloe Lagerfeld, missed so much this scent and here it is again!!!

I sampled this mainly because I was very curious about the said earthiness - expecting relatively clean tones of course. And I had to sample it more than once because if I stop paying attention to it, the smell becomes completely forgotten on my skin except for some brief moments. Nomade has a dry, clear and shiny opening. It is blended and bright, and I cannot make out any notes except what I think would be the soft mirabelle note. To my nose, this adds an approachable and soft feel, the way light peach and apricot do sometimes. I am usually able to pick freesia notes but here I get nothing much except the clean, slightly woody laundry cleanness beneath the mirabelle. I have nothing against clean openings, but this one doesn't transport me. The heart is a silent melange of flowers. Maybe I get a well-behaving jasmine but while working, I actually forget that I have perfume on me. Then comes the favorite part of my drydown, the white suede smell. I wouldn't call it earthiness exactly but it is my favorite part of my Nomade experience. But this doesn't make Nomade FWB for me. The drydown is my least favorite part. It is woody with very clean oakmoss. But when all edges are smoothed out, there isn't much left that transports me. I'm not saying this in comparison to older chypres or daring oakmoss treatments. But I have smellt much better woody drydowns in modern department store fragrances. Nomade is along the lines of the recent Chloe style, but in a recently popular genre. Therefore, it may be a pleasant addition to the collection of many, and can be used as a versatile fragrance that can handle various occasions. Low sillage, lasting power of around 4 hours but mostly the woody drydown.

This is a strong, sensual, musky, old fashioned floral fragrance. Very strong and very elegant, I think it can be worn during the day and night but I wouldn't wear it to the office as it's simply too strong. It's also not sickly sweet which is a bonus. Top Notes - Freesia Heart Notes -Mirabelle plum liquor Base notes - Oakmoss Beautiful but too pricey.
