I purchased both the Bold Obsessions and the Most Loved Mattes from the Milani website after hearing YouTubers rave about them. I am not disappointed in this palette. You can create a multitude of looks with both the matte and shimmers. I do find there is quite a bit of kick up but that doesn't really bother me, just tap off the brush. They blend well and the colours are very pretty. I do have to use an eye shadow primer or they WILL crease. I wouldn't say it exactly feels like high-end, (although the packaging is gorgeous) but it's really decent for the drugstore and the price. I definitely recommend if you don't want to splurge the $40-50 for a higher end palette.

I bought this from a suggestion by numerous YouTube Beauty reviews. I have always like Milani products and started using them several years ago after seeing some recommendations. This palette and the other one, Magnificent Mattes are some of the best eyeshadow pallets I have used, including the expensive ones I have from Sephora. The colors are beautiful and very pigmented. There are no chunky glitter in the satin shades and can be worn by anyone, even us more mature ladies! I have been using these pallets for weeks, and have made so many looks and there are dozens more that one could do. I could use these exclusively and get rid of the clutter. Even if you have lots of palettes, these are worth the the hype and for $15.00 each!!

I purchased both Milani Eyeshadow palettes but this review is for the Bold Obsessions.

After watching a few reviews, I found a video from a Youtuber I find rather trustworthy. She indicated that these are the best drugstore eyeshadow palettes she had ever used so I ran to Walmart to purchase it. I paid $14.97 + tax.

In general, this is a very nice palette. The color story is really nice. Included are 12 very complementary colors that are comprehensive enough to create multiple looks just using this palette alone. There is a mix of matte and metallic shadows. The matte are good. The metallics are incredible with the gold metallic being highly reflective and stunning in color. Between the gold shadow and the full sized mirror, this is why I give it 3 stars. I would give it another half of a star for the color selection.

For those that have access to drugstores, this is a great option. If you use higher-end products or have a variety of shadows in your collection - you may not need this palette. The quality is good but I would not rate it as "the best". I wish I loved it as much as other people seem to.

Price $20.00 Milani website

I ordered both new palettes. This one, Bold Obsessios and Most Loved Mattes(see other review). I was going to wait until they hit the drugstores and hope that I could catch them at a better price, but I really wanted to try these because they look so much like the Stila palettes which I really love.

They are buttery, highly pigmented and blend like a dream. I've tried every color in the palette and they are all good. ‘Red Between the Lines’ & ‘Brunettes Have Fun’ are a little less pigmented. The Metallic Gold can be a little crumbly but has insane pigment. I had better luck applying it with my finger or a brush sprayed with setting spray but when you use it wet the color is so intense, I had to tone it down some. It is really intense! There is some fallout with Gold Letter & Blazing Hot, especially Gold Letter…..so beware it will stick to your under eye area if you apply your foundation before your do your eyes. ‘Little Black Dress’ is a beautiful creamy, deep black perfect for liner. I set my shadows with a setting spray and they last all day and well into the night. The shimmers usually fade some as the evening wears on, but the mattes stay perfect.

$20.00 isn't cheap for a drugstore brand but the Stila palettes are $49.00( I have a couple of them) and honestly the quality of these is very luxurious. I'm pretty sure Milani had the Stila palettes in mind when they made these. The colors in this are similar to some in the Viseart Golden Hour palette and to some of colors in the Stila Eyes Are The Window palettes.

These shadows are really, really good, probably the best drugstore I have ever tried and better than some in high end palettes. Well worth the $20.00. When they are more widely available if you don't want to pay the $20.00, try to catch them on sale if you can and try them or maybe ULTA will carry them so you can swatch them. I'm hoping to catch them on sale and save them for birthday and Christmas gifts this year. I'm that impressed with them.
