Sculpt & Glow Face Highlighting & Contour Glow Palette

This is not a good product. The best product in here I think is the highlight cream, and it's not even amaze-balls it's just pretty good. I find the matte highlighting products hard to use. I loved the idea but i find they apply pretty cakey (i've tried with and without concealer). I've tried just the matte cream and just the matte powder but neither work alone or together well, so that's 1/3 of the palette. I find the contour products patchy. I usually use the kevyn aucoin contour powder though so perhaps I'm spoiled with that amazing formula, but no matter what i do (cream alone, cream with powder, just powder, fingers, brushes, sponge) it always looks dirty on my face. The highlighting powder is decent but can look dusty on my face (NC25/30 skin tone). As I mentioned before, the highlighting cream is decent but I dont find myself grabbing this giant palette for just one product. I got this on sale at sephora (and I guess I can see why it's always on sale) so at least there's that but I would not recommend this at really any price I found it that bad. Maybe mine was old? Packaging sucked me in. It's beautiful allbeit large. HUGE regret for me.

I really like the layout of the palette and the packaging is amazing; I like how the cream and powder products are separated by a solid plastic over to avoid contamination. The cream products are easy to blend and pick up well on a brush; you need very little product. I don’t really like the cream glowing base product because it hardly shows up; I know some people like very natural highlights but I literally can’t see it even after using a lot on my cheeks. I also don’t really like the Japanese pressed powder because it doesn’t brighten my undereye since it’s almost the same tone and shade as my natural skin. The cream highlighter blends nicely, but if you are tan, this makes the area look a little ghostly rather than highlighted; you can honestly achieve the same effect with a slightly lighter concealer and get coverage. Since I only like four products out of six, I’m thinking of returning this. It’s true that 6 big pans for $89 sounds like a bargain, but this is still a very hefty price if you only like several products. I would say this is not a necessity

I am very torn about rating this. I have fluctuated between a 1 and a 2. I bought this palette in May 2017. I have been using it for months, writing this review in December 2017. I have hit major pan on the powder contour shade in the middle of the palette on the Light Medium shade set and baby pan on the highlight powder. The packaging on this is nicely made, but it is VERY large. I find it to be very bulky and takes up way too much space. The top row contains cream products, while the bottom row is powder. On the left, "highlighting" products rest, while the contour cream and powder are in the middle, and "glow" cream and powder is located on the right of the 6-pan powder. There is a plastic cover the covers the cream products. It is a nice thought, but in execution does not provide full protection for the creams (it does provide some protection though, and I'm glad they included it. The shiny surface of the palette is mirror-like and attracts fingerprints very easily. I absolutely would not buy this product again. It is $89. The "highlight" powder is so natural as to not make any difference whatsoever (I use it to set my undereye concealor; that's about all I can use it for). The highlight cream is very, very natural looking. I believe that the creams and powders are meant for layering for longevity, but it just seems like a huge waste of time for me (excpet maybe the glow products). The "glow" cream and powder are more like other brands' highlighters, but again, they are very subtle. I much prefer ABH and Becca for highlighting. I have gotten the most use out of the contour powder. I use contour everyday just under my cheekbones. The color on this is definitely more of a cool tone, so if you hate orangey contour, this one is nice. I do plan on finishing both contour products, but the texture on the contour powder has annoyed me for months now. It pills into these weird little balls that then migrate all over the palette and onto the other products. It looks great and performs great on the skin though (or I would have trashed this for being so annoying). The cream contour also performs well for me. In sum, I will probably pan the contours and throw the rest of the palette out. There may be a dip in one or two other items, but I would not buy it again, and I will do a little celebratory dance when I finish the couple of products that are okay and can move this on out of my stash.
